@bugsymalone16605 жыл бұрын
Alexander Vic I’ve got an Oris watch , I bought it pre owned at a much reduced price and I am impressed by the quality and robustness of the watch. I own other brands and I am not in the market for a $7500 Oris I admit, but I’d stop short “some way short”, actually of ever describing the brand as garbage. Bremont also gets it in the neck from you in your comments & whilst I will concede it’s not a brand I do or am ever likely to consider purchasing, I wouldn’t call it garbage either, if we’re going to have a handful of brands that are deemed acceptable & the fifty or so companies beneath them marked down as rubbish then watch appreciation & innovation of horology is doomed Alexander. It’s not that I don’t think garbage exists, it’s that Oris aren’t that , it’s not escaped me that in life there are people who like to look down on others & take a shit on them if the perceive that their watch choices mark them out as the “lesser”, but it’s that mindset that really is garbage............not Oris.

Megatron wants his watch back. It's gorgeous... absolutely gorgeous. But at $7k, it's in the big boy league. You can pick up a second hand sub for similar price and it will hold its value for many years, whereas this might not. Oris 65 holds its value well. It's one watch that surprised everyone, and a nice little investment. I just hope this does the same as the 65. But it's sharp angles might not be to everyone's tastes.

Love your video, and will look at more in the future. Personally, I am mesmerized by this watch, and was fortunate enough, yesterday, to apparently be the first customer in Canada to purchase one. Normally, I am a Diver 65 kind of guy, and I own two, but I just love watches in all shapes, sizes and configurations. I love what I call the "industrial" look of this watch, and how Oris achieved it by having absolutely no polished surfaces anywhere, on case, bracelet or movement. The main attraction for me, however, is the human interaction one has with the watch. For me a skeleton watch has to me a manually wound movement. Having the huge mainspring and large power reserve indicator visible when winding and seeing the movement come to life is simply grand. Without any date function or other complications, it allows all the parts to be more visible. Well, I could ramble on forever about this watch. Funny thing is that, barely two weeks ago, I picked up a Zenith A384 Revival watch from the very same AD (a favorite AD, Time & Gold here in Vancouver), a perfect reissue of a vintage watch. Now, here I am with the latest, most up-to-date, beautifully engineered modern watch! By the way, I love the Rolex Explorer 1 36mm like your's, and it is the only watch I have ever regretted selling. I totally understand your love of that one. Cheers, Carl

If the watch runs -4 to + 6 sec it is COSC spec. But the thing is that it should be able to stay within that range for 4 - 5 years to prove very higth quality an not just for 2 - 3 years. We will see i the future. About the size. Most people will get use to it, but the very good tjing is that is it titanium. It must feel lite, and because og the size if it is being worn a little tight, then you properly won´t feel the size at all. But you can see it. a 12 days full powerreserve where it proberly runs very stabile the first 10 days is remarcebel. Perhaos if the make it run 2,5 HZ and not 3 hz, thy can get it to run for 10 days but have a 40 - 42 mm case instead.

Design feels very Fighter Jet-esque. I quite like it. I'm not huge on skeletonized so I would love to see a more traditional dial with this movement and perhaps some polished bits on the case for some contrast, but yeah overall I like it.
