It's to their advantage to hold all of these animals back and not have them become independent. If they don't have these animals in their fraudulent "rehab" facility then they can't make the videos and they don't receive the revenue from donations. These people are sick and selfish.

Lol feel like a proud uncle I literally watched them all grow up especially Beni I watched him from trying to cheat his diet to when he injured himself climbing then him being transported to the pre-release island. Working there with these beautiful orangutans is on my bucket list

The poachers who "rehabilitated" these animals just so that they could make these dramatic videos are completely unqualified. Once these animals are older and are not as "cute" they get dumped on some "pre-release" island to die and are replaced by more poached animals. It is disgusting and disgraceful what these poachers are doing!!

I so admire all of the people who work with these critters. All we see are the carefully edited precious moments. But taking of any animal is work. Daily repetitive work. All done in what are hot and humid conditions. And there is grieving and loss as well. A tough job.

Omg me too! He’s my favorite! I love them all, but then he just has such a special and unique personality! And who can’t relate to the perpetual struggle against snacks? lol the last I know he was on the pre-release island and had a small injury from a fight, but that he was going to go back to the pre-release island. I also read that he was becoming a dominant male! I’m trying to picture of him with flanges! If you know anything more, please share! The day he gets released permanently, I know I will cry my eyes out!

Oh man I love these and I never been too much into chimps and stuff and suddenly for a while I thought orangutans came from Africa I thought that all age came from Africa it's what happens when you go to school and the United States and he's supposed to get a great education but you live near Chicago kind of I mean I live out of country about an hour and a half from Chicago and Northern Illinois which is pretty much all it's pretty much all cities Northern Illinois Chicago is like a whole bunch of other cities connected to Chicago area you think would be like doing really great but no more people getting killed her than freaking Iraq on a weekend I was locked up in prison most of those guys couldn't well not most but a lot of those guys especially from Chicago area could not read or write very well some couldn't read and write at all. Boy these ladies that got the ultimate job raising these little baby or anything he's helping teaching how to climb there in the kindergarten class there. That would be so great I love writings I love kids in general and lacks took off as a single dad so I had to do a job. LOL but 42 they're all grown up already and there's 20s my son just turned 20 months ago. And you do miss it and then this was thinking to like man these people with a pet monkey complaining us like having another kid I can see where some people would be bother some but not to me especially since I knew two people that own capuchins and they never had any major problems it was just like having another kid in the family pretty much except for they were actually smarter than kids sometimes boy them capuchins are extremely smart and I know of someone that had a long time for more than a few years although eventually got sick and passed on it had never caused any problems either in fact it was really sweet and really shy yet a lot of people just believed that bad things just because you heard bad things in America half these people think that a monkey is a chimpanzee without a future chimpanzee attacks in America years ago that were horrifying so they went around and like State Illinois they just made all monkeys legal you can't even own a set which is pretty much just like a freaking ferret I don't see your mama said he's being like an actual monkey sure maybe scientifically but it's just it's not the same. Boy some of that stuff you see capuchins do capuchins and macaque's are smart like those two are pretty close to human behavior in certain ways and then you'll get one and every once in a while that's real Genius. I see one place that had a number of capuchins but they had one and he want me took a rock you figured out how to break the breakproof glass and try to escape yeah he was a smart one they said that one there he was the genius of the geniuses. LOL. That's why it's difficult to have one as a pet human beings want to dominate their animal and they see a monkey is an animal that monkeys not an animal and its head giant animal in my head they have too much personality I see them as people and just like us they don't want to get told what to do and be pulled around and wait on someone else's time and you know so it's just like when you butt heads with your kid or anything else except for these things have millions of years of evolution of you know surviving in the wild and she can't go and just start yelling at it or grab it and yank it and I'm just going to buy out of reaction anything else let alone if you really pissed It Off. Most of the owners I've ever heard complained their animal bit them and this also in this case I'm an awesome mean dogs too it's cuz owners are controlling bossy mean assholes most of the time and everyone and everything have to be on their time and their rules their way and then they turn around and complain when they have to argue with somebody or somebody tells him no or even worse they get no fight with somebody or the animal bites them. Sadly that's a whole lot of people were back in the day like the 1800s people beat their dogs they beat their horse they beat their wife they beat their kids you going to do this in the side of my time right now how I want it done I don't care what you want. That's the problem and some people are like that. Also sometimes though sometimes you get a pet that's like that and then things get really messed up. LOL

Monkeys and apes differ so much!It seems Gorillas and Orangutans seem to be the most calm and they seem to be great mothers. I think bonobos belong with this group. Then baboons, macacs, and spider Monkeys all seem violent and cruel Mothers at best.Regular chimpanzees seem violent too.
