Hello Kyle, I’m still currently reading the bible and I’m loving it. After being spiritually dead for 19 years of my life (as my family don’t have a belief), I finally decided to seek GOD and my life and answers I’ve always had just make sense now! I’ve been investigating different churches for a while now and I’m most interested in the Orthodox church. Do you have a video on the history of the church (or recommend one) that helps support the orthodox church of being the true church in detail? I’d appreciate your response! To me it’s simple: before Christ ascended into heaven, he didn’t manifest the Bible out of nothing and hand it to the disciples, he left behind a CHURCH. It’s the CHURCH that is the pillar and foundation of truth, and it is the CHURCH that is guided by the Holy Spirit. It was after understanding this that I truly began to see the importance of the historical church, and that couldn’t just ignore it and “study the Bible” on my own and come to my own conclusions about things like Young Don thinks he can.

God is not a creation, that is heresy. God is Trinity = combines the concepts of tri- (three) and unity (one), and refers to the three Persons of God who are consubstantial (i.e. of one essence or homoousios) and coeternal with each other. The early Church fathers are the best proof. They used the scriptures the way the Orthodox still do, quoting from from it endlessly for hermeneutical purposes long before it was officially canonized. Absolute proof that nothing new or novel was added as part of a process of abrogation, novelization or apostasy.

It's a bad argument since it actually proves the opposite and calls muslims into question on that point.

I personally lean towards the trinity but after learning from Bert Erhman and others I can see that most ancient Christians didn't believe in the trinity.

We understand that words change meaning over time, so the US Constitution is interpreted through an “originalist” lens. Otherwise, the interpreter is a “liberal activist.” But apparently being “liberal” with the Bible and coming up with your own interpretations is ok. I think it’s pride.

The constitution was created by crazy people, somethings make sense and are consistent but alot of it is meaningless and since the people in power have been corrupt forever then the paper is meaningless and has been for over a century
