Mr. Santhosh, I was in kakira jinja Uganda for about 12 years. What you said about Uganda is exactly correct. Like Gods own country Uganda is called pearl of Africa. Good climate good people, and good vegetables absolutely with out any pesticides and fertilisers.And lot of fresh fish of many variety from lake victoria. In my house compound I had two jack fruit trees, moringa, black pepper curry leaves and banana plants etc. Idi Amin was a cruel man, no doubt. But some people still think his certain actions are exaggerated. One of my Gujarati friend whose many relatives have gone from Uganda and settled in Britain told me jokingly that that they are keeping the photo of Ameen in gratitude😄 why because before the exodus many Indians were small traders and street vendors. Though with lot of sufferings when they reached Britain, canada and America atleast their next generation all became educated and well settled and some of them became world renowned personalities also. True all have suffered and lost their properties and earnings. when Mr. Museveni president took over, he invited back all Indian business people and gave their properties though all in ruined condition . In Jinja one Hindu Temple was converted into a Mosque by Idi Ameen and this was returned to Hindus back by Mr. Museveni. Other two big temples were intact. During Idi Ameen era Some Indians were allowed to stay in Uganda by Idi Ameen. In that one Mr. Kurup and his wife were there.Both were teachers
