Osage Self Bow: Bend in Handle Design!

How to make a bend in the handle bow, length of wood determined the design and is not only limited to osage. Stave was a small diameter tree and decrowning is the most effective choice for strength and durability. I learned this from Spink, a prior Survival Instructor who has made thousands of bows and gave me this stave. Thanks again brother!

Quick note, a decrowned bow will work very much like a straight grain board bow...but it is *not* just as strong as a single growth ring.
