Hello Rion! It's so nice to see Japanese everyday life. We lived in Okinawa in the early 90's. I loved living in the Okinawan community. I remember a small store that I would take my children to for them to buy gotchapon and candy after school. We had several small restaurants nearby that were always friendly. Your videos remind me of that happy time. Could you find a traditional kids fun store and make a video there? That would be so nice? Keep up the good work! 🤗😌🤗

I love your videos man, and I used to survive on shopping at Gyomu Super while in college (京都外国語大学). But let me help you out a bit. 1) Get a meat hammer. It makes flattening out the meat a lot easier and it's not that expensive of a tool. You can also smash garlic with it. 2) Sharpen your knife. The pork should have sliced easily. That took too much "sawing" movement. 3) Shiso can be cut very quickly and easily using a technique called "chiffonade". Stack the leaves. Then roll the leaves into a tight tube shape. Then slice across the tube. It will make tiny little ribbons. Looking forward to more videos!

"Our minds are like our stomaches; they are whetted by the change of their food, and variety supplies both with fresh appetite." - Quintilian Variety is in Tonkatsu to Katsudon indeed! Though I would prefer Tempura-don or Grilled Salmon-don anytime, your style of cooking Katsudon and the sauce is appealing. The crispy crunch of the Tonkatsu when sliced, hit all the appetizing notes! It was sheer spectacle when you added half of the mixed 3 eggs to the Tonkatsu and sauce in pot first and later the rest of the it and voilà, finished! I like Japanese scallops sold as snack in packets. My favorite is fresh oysters and oyster-omelette, yum 😄! I did not drink sodas growing up but my mom often made sure I had tetra pak fresh milk. Great video once more, Rion! Now for a laugh, "Murphy's Law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Cole's Law is thinly sliced cabbage." 😂 Keep going, keep smiling, Rion!
