Chevy Chase was one of the funniest guys on television or at the movies in the 1980s. His movies were hilarious and highly entertaining. He is one of the many reasons what made the 1980s to me anyway such a special decade.

Comedy and humor is not a science, it is a taste. What is funny in Britain may not be as funny in the US. Our life experienced (from childhood, as an adult) gives us an individual framework of what WE may think is funny. What is funny to one person may not be funny to someone else. Obviously you know the name Chevy Chase for a reason, and it has nothing to do with Maryland. Chase would have to be a talented and funny person to a lot of people for you to even know his name. Give him a break.
