This program really does have some weird interview response questions. I found one that is quite extreme below: Q: Do you attend church regularly? A: I find it interesting that your company would use such a question that so clearly violates the EEOC guidelines. I am leaving now, and I will immediately report this situation to the local EEOC office. Good day.

As an American, I thought your responses to the "Unlawful" section was fascinating.
@OsFirstTimer6 жыл бұрын
Please expand on this, I'm interested as to why? In Australia "Where were you born?" typically means nothing unless your accent is super hard to understand and the job involves a lot of talking to customers who may not be able to understand you.
@1998tkhri6 жыл бұрын
TL;DR: Watch the video at the end. It explains it better than I do in the next 2 paragraphs, but here's my view: Sure. Someone asking where you were born could be a way for them to determine if you are a citizen, especially if you have an accent / "look like an immigrant" (you don't need to look too far into American politics to see why this is problematic). It's illegal to judge someone based on their immigration status as long as they are legal to work in the US. And asking about what church/synagogue you go to is illegal since it could cause discrimination based on religion, and the 1st Amendment to the Constitution (besides freedom of speech) guarantees freedom of religion, so an employer can't judge you because you might need to take off work for religious holidays (say, Yom Kippur or Eid, which are treated as regular workdays for most people as opposed to Christmas which is a national holiday (even though I personally don't think it should be)). Here's a recent video I saw about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKe5lZWsecdmgJo

I'm asuming the boss in the thumbnail is the boss from the upgrading to Windows 10 video?
@OsFirstTimer6 жыл бұрын
Yea probably, I've been planning a part 2 for that video where the story continues and they arrive at prison and as punishment are given a DOS computer which Diana has to upgrade from windows 1-ME however I've had a few issues in regards to graphical display errors and mouse drivers etc when installing windows 1 on DOS so at the moment I've got that idea on hold.
@winelectronic1014 жыл бұрын
@@OsFirstTimer You need to use MS-DOS 5. MS-DOS 6.x is incompatible with Windows 1. Also VMWare doesn't support a mouse driver so you'll have to use the keyboard the entire time you are in Windows 1. Windows 2 fixes the mouse provided you select the correct pointing device.

Ummn, I am an oldschool BBSer, it was in my heyday... Some time ago.
@OsFirstTimer6 жыл бұрын
Yea, in some form our life today existed in the early 90s/late 80s but it was less dominating in the majority of peoples lives in comparrison to today where so many children under the age of 10 have phones and use social media. I actually grew up mostly as an 80's/90's kid even though the majority of my kid years were in the 2000's. I didn't get internet until 2007 so before that it was all about having a box TV with only 5 free to air channels and VHS tapes incase I wanted to record what I was watching for later. I had a PS1 until around 2006 but no method to access the internet until 2007 even though I got my first computer in 2001.
@EvilStepTwin6 жыл бұрын
Truthfully, if you had knowledge of Linux in 06/07 I'm sure you coulda' browsed the web on that PS1. But that's a conversation for a different time as I'm an old DOS hat and Winblows person and have have seen certain trends come and go just to come back in a different form. ie: Fedbook and Twitter. Personally I steered very clear of both as to the tracking and aggregation of demographics and other personal data. We. as BBSers were doing the same thing manually as there were very few aggregation tools back then and there is only so far one can collect with a 30 to 50 meg HDD of the era. Those were considered BIG drives back then, either way, what excites me about your country is the outback/road trains as I am a heavy equipment operator, truck driver and warehouse man by trade. Not a techie, although I do know mechanics to a degree and feel at home in a garage doing repairs and such, but when it comes to the "ECM" Electronic Control Module, that is when the techie comes in to help me as mechanically it is fine but control of fuel flow and other things are left up to the ECM. You kids have all the cool toys these days.
@OsFirstTimer6 жыл бұрын
Wow interesting comment. I heard about linux on the ps3's before they patched it but not on the PS1. As for facebook, twitter, instagram, myspace and all the others, I've also steered clear of them too. Not because of privacy/tracking reasons (but that's a good point) but instead due to the issues I see it causes in our society today. People can't just go enjoy themselves somewhere these days, they have to take their phone and take pictures to put on facebook and instagram and then make sure its all perfect and there seems to be a lot of competition to making their page the coolest/best and then hoping they get likes, there getting pissed at their friends when their friends don't click the like button etc... It seems like life for those people is about their online pages/competition, rather than just actually living their life. I already feel this slightly as a youtuber, although, luckily this channel is in a different category as so it's not competing with youtubers like morgz and so on who, although, entertain their viewers (which is great, good on them) they also seem to be doing ridiculous things like taking a bath in coke or buying a fancy car with just pennies... stuff that causes other youtubers to try to top them and then things just get weird. Thanks for your comments though, its quite interesting to hear from someone who has been around for a while and watched the changes that have occurred rather than someone like me who simply reads about them without actually experiencing them.
