If you eat a large amount (more than just a few bites), then it might cause digestive troubles, but that's it. As a kid, we'd always eat a few pieces when my mom was making home-made fries and never had any resulting issues.

Duncan and Rhythian having a competition about whose village was smaller made me realize just how small where I grew up was, because when Rhythian said 3000 it actually surprised me that he was bragging about that being small. Mine was closer to 700. The sign might as well have read "Welcome to X. Population: All your cousins."

I grew up in a small neighbourhood of like 30 houses in the country, nestled between some farms and woodlands. It's not particularly remote though, so it doesn't feel as small as it really is. The nearest town (of about 9000 people) is about a 15 minute drive away, and Oslo is about a 45 minute drive away.

theres actually supposed to be several different types of angels which all have their own rank in an angel hierarchy. The horrific wheely eye monsters are Ophanim, a very high ranking angel, belonging to a class of angel - a choir - called Thrones. They appeared in Ezekiel's wild acid trip where he met God who says the Israelites will return to palestine sometime. I think. It's been a while since i studied RS and christian theology is absolutely impenetrable at the best of times. If i remember rightly the book of Ezekiel is where most of the descrptions of the different angels come from, they're p much all terrifying. Also I'm pretty sure in revalations satan is described as like a multi-headed dragon or something - altho i might be WAYY misremembering that lol

I think I read somewhere that the Bible mentioned nine types of Angels, the humanoid winged Angels are the most well known because if every piece of religious art that featured the Seraphim {the version Rythian described} then it be pretty scary sight and that would give the image that Heaven is a scary place. Also to point out that they rarely interact with humans anyway but if a Seraphim were to interact with a human than that's where the 'Be not afraid' line is from. the only Angels in the Bible that interacted with the Humans are the "regular" Angels.

Most of the times angels appear in the Bible, they aren't given any description. There's a few places in the Old Testimate where they are given some *wild* descriptions, including the "Wheel with eyes" one that Rythian remembers. However, in the middle ages, there were some other books written that created a taxonomy of angels with specific descriptions, and those sources are where a lot of "Christian Angel Lore" comes from. Those Medieval sources are not from the Bible, and are not widely believed by modern Christians.

Terrifying eldritch angels are only described in the book of revelations, a book of poetic forms to describe the end of the world and the day of judgement. Angels described outside of revelations typically just look like people, such as gabriel.

*Fun fact:* Angels didn't look like androgynous winged people until the Romans sycnretized their depiction designs with the goddess Nike, so that their cultural symbolism for the Roman Empire of a just and righteous conquest through victory could be preserved when they repurposed Christianity as the main religion of the Roman Empire (and heavily redefined what Christianity was at the Council of Nicea). Prior to that, artistic depictions of angels in human form all looked like your classic wise man with a halo more similar to what you'd see in artistic depictions of enlightened individuals in Hinduism & Buddhism, but specifically they were no longer bearded after ~400AD. I think that there's only one classic piece of artwork during this transition period that has both wings AND a beard. The key differentiation is pre-Roman as bearded wise man with halo, post-Roman is a more androgynous winged man with halo. But yes, that aside, there are descriptions in the Bible of angels as more terrifyingly abstract things with wheels, wings, multiple eyes, or animal features, hence the term "Biblically accurate angel" for those discrepancies between the overly sanitized art vs. solely how it was described in the text. There are also angels in human form in the text, but now hopefully having a bit more context to why & how the popularized versions of angels became more central to how they're commonly visualized will help make sense why the "Biblically accurate" ones FEEL so jarringly different despite being accurate.

A biblically accurate Duncan would be Gmod's Doncon But to answer the Yog's question on biblically accurate angels, its a bit of a yes and no. Angels can be basically whatever the fuck they want to be, so not *every* angel looks like that, but there's a specific subtype of angels that make up, like, the royal guard and shit, that are described as being a series of flaming/golden rings with many wings and eyes.

there are very specific descriptions in the bible. you are describing a throne. the wheels within wheels with many eyes. the cherubim have four wings and four faces, man, lion, ox, eagle then the seraphim. about the only consistent thing seems to be the six wings. these things all sound like acid trips to me honestly, or sleep paralysis demons.

Not to out country duncan but where I grew up we only had a postoffice and a few farms it was the most dull boring place to grow up. Getting to the nearest town there was one bus first thing in the morning and one that returned in the afternoon and that was it. There were Cherubim, with a four faces of a lion, ox, eagle, and human and four wings. There were Ophanim, which were interlocking wheels with eyes and numerous wings. Finally, there were Malakim, which just looked human, no wings. At no point in the bible were angels described as humanlike with wings.

never seen fully cooked frozen fries. They're normally at most flash cooked to pasteurize them (and to seal in flavours from spices and such), so mostly raw, and still require cooking to be completely safe to eat.

Actually the biblically accyrte angels meam is kinda true, and not. Its more like there are ton of different kinda angels, and those memes of biblically accurate angels interacting with humans thats not biblically accurate. The type of angels that interacted with humanity looked lot like humans like Michael for example. And this is coming from agnostic, and not Christian. Lot of people just mixes those visions of wheels with million eyes with all angels, but angels have many forms they have ton of names
