The "Red Death" was ALSO a nickname for TB because you cough-up and drown in your own blood; it was the way Edgar Allen Poe's fiancee died. Why does no one know this?

My teacher showed us this movie in anatomy and I was actually interested in the movie. I watched it when I got home. What stuck with me is the fact that every white blood cell on the police force thinks Osmosis did the wrong thing by making Frank throw up the oyster. The oyster had a germ that could've caused harm to Frank. Osmosis did the right thing by making Frank throw up and it sucks how everyone treated him because he made the right decision for Frank's health.

Honestly love the (semi-) scientific accuracy of making Frank get sick from dropping an egg in a Chimpanzee cage. They’re so closely related that their pathogens can sometimes easily infect humans as well. There are a lot of little nice nods to actual science and biology in this film

Even if all the cells are anthropomorphized to oblivion there aren’t that many inaccuracies in terms of facts in this movie. Arguably the worst offender of fiction without going into the anthropomorphic nature of the cells is the ending of jones surviving, that was nothing short of divine intervention.

Now the scene that has stuck with me is the scene where he eats the egg off the ground. That traumatized me as a child. I mean this movie kick started my firm belief that people are disgusting. 2020 only proved me right. The interpretation I took was - Thrax was dubbed "la muerte roja" by a small (clearly hysterical from fear) multi-eyed germ that has a twice reoccurring flash freezing gag.
