You have definitely made having a bag more emotionally manageable for me. I don't have a support group or any friends that understand what I am going through. Thank you for making these videos. I'm still in major pain from the surgery but, mentally I am trying to pull through. Thank you again.

Theresa Johnson Do your WOCN'S at the hospital have local support groups? I live in a small town, and I don't know anyone else that has one here, but 40 min away the WOCN'S from one hospital have a monthly support group. I've been a nurse for a long time, so I just talk to my nurse friends. They don't understand what it's like, but they understand what it is, and that I'll never be an icu nurse again. Keep your head up. My husband at the time bailed on me, but hey, you find out who loves you, and that's what matters.

Hello! So by next week im going to have a colectomy(?) because of Crohn's Disease.I'm almost fifteen and ive had crohns since i was around seven. Ive been watching your videos just to get prepared for whats to come. Everyone i tell about this make it seem like its such a horrible thing but when i watch your videos you seem so relaxed about it. im actually excited to get it because i will be free of (most) pain and it makes me so happy to be able to say that:) thank you for making this easier!

I know how you feel, when everyone found out i was getting an ostomy 14 years ago, i didn't feel like i had a lit of support either. But now I'm better with it, things have come a long way in 14 years, as far as products go. I've had Crohn's for 14 almost 15 years. Good Luck.

the Brava strips are amazing, I use them all the time and they stop the breakdown from showers and baths, great product. Please do a video on the new Coloplast Mio, I'm going to be trying them this month, the 2 piece click just became available.

Sure, the ones I show in this video?

I used the strip paste several time. It works great but hard to remove. I'm still learning I've only had my stoma(Rosa) for four months.

You have such a great attitude! Have you ever thought about starting a blog and mentoring other people with ostomies. I think you would be great.

Can you do a video on pouch covers?
@iledz198011 жыл бұрын
HI, you said you used closed pouches....Does your insurance cover all of them? Usually they only cover like 60 per month. I can only imagine you go through 3-5 a day right? Just wondering. Also I got tons of samples from salts as well. They were very generous on them. Let me know how they turn out. I am always a chicken when trying new products out. Thanks

Hi, so im new to the ileostomy life. I'm 17 and I had the surgery a week ago. Im having embarrassing moments when I eat, or try to hang out with family/friends. I get a lot of gas sometimes, but I barely eat, I drink liquids more than anything bc of my diet. Can you help me with my problem?

Just stick with it, your body is going through some major changes and it will adjust it just takes time. I've had my ostomy for a couple years now and I went through the same adjustment period. I too have Crohn's disease and it's the reason for my ostomy. I lost all of my large intestine and most of my small intestine, I only have 18 inches of small intestine left so i struggle with short bowel syndrome now and the first year was the hardest for me. Your body is amazing it will adjust you just have to have a lot of patience. Good luck with everything.
