I think this would actually be a really good idea for OSU have a ranked system where you could play against people in similar elo and maps are choses based on ur elo and it could be like randomly selected by pre choses maps that the devs have choses. Who would want BTMC to have a series on his channel where he would look at crazy plays from diffrent osu modes? Something named maybe like "_____ players are insane" where the _____ would be the mode name. I think that the other gamemodes are overshadowed by standard and that players there should get more recognition in the whole community.

It's also like saying smurfing in video games is fair because that account has a similar rank to your opponents. _Obviously neither of those are cheating and I'm not saying it shouldn't be allowed_ or anything but my half joking point was/is that they are already at the top of the world rankings, it feels a bit lame that they're flexing on this separate(unofficial) ladder just for content...

i mean tbh, the rank system is quite flawed in o!RL since it doesn't change elo rewards compared to relative osu rank difference and beatmap difficulty. I made it to legendary easily while playing in a 3* lobby with a friend as a 5 digit.

Don't know which is newer but this is quite similar to o!mm. Honestly some form of elo system is a no brainer in any game where you want to competition. I mean most of us already think tournament performance is a better indicator of overall skill than pp. Altough I kinda get the feeling this will never be officialy implemented.
