I am so happy that someone is trying to explain aesthetic! It is something that I struggle with in my mapping. Have you ever felt, when you started mapping, that you were stuck behind some kind of invisible barrier forcing you to have a perfect pattern and symmetry? I absolutely love your video btw

So you said "If the song doesn't change, why should an aspect of the map change so drastically" But it is so hard tell when something is starting to get boring or monotonous and when something is overdone because it changes to fast. Sometimes when I map a section, I think: "This could be too boring and monotonous." Then I look at it again after its done and think of the opposite.

any chance of either (a) streaming yourself mapping an entire song or (b) recording, cutting/speeding up, and uploading a video of it? would love to see a beatmap being created from start to finish - I know spaghetti and smoothie world have done stuff like that but it'd be cool to see something a little more in depth maybe uwu

dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7518324/new%20skin.osk i consider that editor video bad since it didn't explain anything. this one is nice though
@grimrapper52028 жыл бұрын
here's why your editor video isn't bad (IMO): 1. you're the only one who states how to set up offset in the first place (most people just explain how to sync the offset at the whole song) 2. creating a slider point without deleting the slider (or I'm just too dumb) 3. The "scale by" option by the Edit menu (since it's confuses me the first time and decided to scale it manually 4. Timing section, cuz no one knows the t Inherited points means in the first place and decided to ignore it (and ended up screwed up the SV and BPM menu in the process) 5. The Design Section (ft. Damnae via Skype *wink* *wink*) 6. How to make good-shaped streams without placing all of it manually (I know, I'm dumb) and you said it didn't explain anything...

Wait, what's the reason behind the 5 degree tilt exactly? Why is it so common?
@pishifat8 жыл бұрын
symmetry and repeated things are clearly recognizable the "5" could be replaced with any number to get the same results (assuming it's repeated throughout a map/section)
