I have a daughter in her 30's called me one night she said mama I've been listening to Otis Redding I just love him . I cried. I raised my children to all the classic blues Motown Doo Wop classic rock and my grandchildren moving to great grandchildren. This music is raw talent. Believe it or not, Otis had a son where I live and looked just like him. His name was Eric. He left us at an early age too. I know you're wondering if he could sing..... Damn right he could sing. He was growing up with my two sons and had a very close relationship. I was so very happy and honored to be his proclaimed Uncle and my wife his Aunt. I can't go into detail of his Mother was but we were all like family ❤

I live in NY and went to concerts in DC and NC to see Otis. I first saw him in my home town Columbus GA. I felt like I lost a family member. I cried for days when he died. I looked at young girls reactions to the Beatles and thought it was stupid But never said never!!!!
