Actually, baby otters are scared of water. Mothers will grab them by the neck around 8 weeks old and literally drag them through and under the water. It looks brutal, like the mother is trying to drown the baby, but it's how they teach the cubs.

I think Bingo prefers the ‘waterfall’ to the tub. He was hilarious to watch. Patience will get him there in the end.

Awwww I think Bingo drank more water than swam in it.. poor Bjngos parents .. they took so much time filling the big tub, but devious Bingo decided the smaller one was more his liking .. Bingo you cute little noodle nugget.

I do believe it's the harness that makes him unconfortable. He feels his movements are restrained and is afraid he could get locked in a bigger pool, especially when trying to escape (too tall edges). He has total control in the smaller one.

I can so relate to Bingo. I too have issues with jumping into new experiences even when it looks like so much fun. Mom and Dad Bingo you parent so well - always encouraging, never too pushy. 👍💖😁

In germany we would say: "Bingo ist eben ein Warmduscher." He likes the nice warm shower and tub. 😆😄 Edit: we all know that Otters are very playfull animales. Maybe you should/can try it with something like a little jakuzzi. Maybe the bubbles would "force" Bingo to step in deeper water. 😉

Bingo likes a waterfall better than a full dip!! He is priceless when he puts up his little hands to block Daddy's splash and then hides himself under lip of big bath and then jumps into little bath to hide! First Bingo taught me the proper way to eat and now I have learned the proper way to drink from him. Get a friend to fill and pour out a bucket full of water (or your liquid of choice) and then you just stick your whole face into the stream, preferably with your arms thrown to the sides.
