I have a 2wd 1999 Toyota Hiace with a 5L engine, none turbo, bought it 21 years ago and it's still running well, I only pulled the engine once to do a overall and serviced injectors twice, not giving it up 👍🇯🇲

Delving into what OttoEx say at the beginning, this is a model: KZH116G-GHMDT. While I can't be certain this is likely to be 1000kg payload for the van and 1400kg total trailer weight (inc it's cargo). Some of that payload would have to include the tongue load if towing. JDM vehicles don't typically have vehicle or axle weights nor GWM or its equivalent on the build plates, so it can get a bit complicated depending on local rules. Btw JDM vehicles also don't typically use the VIN system so you might be able to get the vehicle 'plated' for your locality. Remember: 'your milage may vary'.

I do not know why toyota stop production of toyota hiace 1989-2004(dolphins),apart from their landcruiser series these were the second most sought out vehicles especially in asia and africa,the later design of 2004 upto now is no longer durable and its expensive to maintain to low income countries
