You experienced exactly what we did. Its a mortgage rather than rent. It costs alot to feel that ocean breeze. Part of the reason we sold our house there, it was an expensive place to live and we didnt like working just to live. Glad you had a good time.

The way they closed off the street is like what they did in Louisville, Kentucky. Forth street use to be our cruising street back in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Now it’s more of an open air mall with a Hard Rock Cafe and other nice restaurants and clubs. When they opened it there was a dress code, casual wear but still it was a dress code.

Wow you guys really know how to enjoy retirement. Just roving around at your leisure enjoying the country. While I'm sitting here in New York just rotting away. Both the wife and I are retired and I just cannot convince her to hit the road, not even part time. I suggested renting an RV for a week and explore the lifestyle. Couldn't get her to agree to that. Very, very frustrating. In any case I get some enjoyment watching you two visit different places. Thank you for taking me along on your travels. Ride safe and keep on truckin'.

Thanks, Joe, for watching. Maybe if your wife watches enough of our video's she'll "get the bug"...maybe? In the future, we plan on camping near Brooklyn and visiting the City. Glad you're along with us on the journey. Hope springs eternal...the road may be in your future one day...you never know, we may see each other out there. We'll try to keep it between the lines. Thanks.😎

We had such a fun time there. I'm still getting over the cost of the campground fee 😱 but it was really a great location. We typically don't spend this kind of money for a campground. Thank goodness we boondock alot to offset the cost! But...we were able to ride our bikes everywhere all along the beach and enjoy the views (not from the campground) so David is off the hook. 😘

Words can't describe the experience you're having. I hope you go to Solvang and Lompoc. Lompoc has the flower festival every year I think the end of May. I would like to know more about your trailer and setup please. It looks like a commercial trailer with the dual axles and wheels on the rear. Also you are using a commercial 5th wheel hitch on the truck and not the usual ET hitch. So why?
@bigtruckbigtravels2 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard- thanks for the comments and appreciate your time watching the channel. Our 5th wheel is a total custom build by Space Craft. Based on a semi trailer with standard semi running gear(air ride, air disc brakes) and a little more robust. The trailer alone weighs 42,000 lbs with a pin weight of 13,000 lbs so we have to run a commercial style hitch plate. It's built for this so it mates with the Volvo semi truck perfectly... actually, a Class 7/8 is the only truck that could pull it. Hope this helps. In the future, we plan to do a 4 part series on our setup.
