Our 500+ km ride, leaving the Karoo via route 62 S1E46

We wake up to a beautiful Karoo sunrise at the Tankwa Padstal, but the temperatures plumaged during the night to -2C! Not an easy morning to get out of our warm sleeping bags. Today we have a very long day ahead of us, Werner planned over 500 km with several mountain passes. But first we need to finish the last stretch of the R355, towards civilisation. We fill up our bikes in Touwsrivier, after more than 200 km of no fuel stops. With the bikes full, we start our long ride, doing rooihoogte pass and burgerspass with a quick stop at Keisie Valley View Point. Only arriving in Montagu well into the afternoon, the long road of route 62 began. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to stop at all of the amazing places such as Ronnies Sex Shop, but we had to make time. In a couple of days we are up for our licences and we need to make haste.

Yes @@thetravelingtortoises I saw you took on a long stretch for 1 day and understand it meant you had to get to then end. It happens, U2 just enjoy the ride... It's about riding and taking things as they come.

But the standard seat has never really given me any problems. It just got better over time as it broke in and I actually enjoy the seat a lot. 😁👍
