Our abandoned farm renovation just got much easier as we build a vital piece of kit that we’ve been wanting for YEARS! Celebrate the NEW ARGUS 4 PRO launch with up to 25% OFF (& an extra 5% off with the code LifebyLiving) Argus 4 Pro: reolink.com/pr... / Argus 4 Pro (Amazon): amzn.to/4cb5Hnl
#abandonedfarm #renovation #homestead
#reolink #Argus4Pro #reolinkcameras
We’re soon to begin restoring the interior of the stone cabin from damp barn to dream tiny house, so to help us achieve this we FINALLY got round to building a modular workbench on wheels!
We also finished building the stone work around the old stone house’s new window sills & the pups get a much needed trim to keep them cooler over summer.
LIKE THIS VIDEO if you enjoyed it and SUBSCRIBE to follow our journey as we document our life here in Portugal and the many DIY projects that we'll be tackling including renovating a tiny stone home, setting up systems to grow some of our own food and finally restoring the 100+ year old farm house.
Also say hi in the comments! We'd love to hear from you 😊
Ricky and Victoria x
-------------
We're Ricky & Victoria 👋 We're slowly bringing an abandoned off grid Portuguese farm back to life & transforming it into a beautiful homestead for us & our two rescue dogs Teddy & Poppy.
We both agree that we’re not experts in anything that we do here, however we don’t let that stop us from giving it a try. We live our life by trying. We live our life by doing. We live our LIFE BY LIVING.

Put tyres on the ground and grow your potatoes inside of them, you can go 3 up, when its time to dig them up you only have to pull the tyres up.You really need to build raised beds, much easier to work on, your back will love you, also, use straw to cover the beds, it will help with the heat drying the beds out plus you can dig it into the soil at the end of each season, building up the organic matter in the soil.

@@wendywalsh-pardey9439 It takes a long time for tyres to break down, even if it takes 6 to 10 years, you can change them, timber will rot especially cheap timbers like pine as I did, the worms and slaters plus rot destroyed them within two years, there's lots of materials you could use, but if money is a issue then you are limited, you could use railway sleepers, concrete, stones/bricks and mortar, old bath tubs, to name a few.
