The only man who can make a youtube comment section all agree with each other. We are all in complete amazement of this man. He is as close to a saint iv ever seen in my 43 years on this planet. He wasn't selling anything, he wasn't a phoney, he just wanted to make his mark and help in his own way. I'd say he did what he set out to do without ever compromising anything.

I was introduced to Mr. Rogers as an adult when I moved to Pittsburgh. I never watched his show as a child. I saw the show on Amazon Prime and decided to check it out. I was stunned, amazed, and moved. What an incredible man and what an incredible show he created. Sometimes if I’m feeling upset I turn on the show and it calms me and makes me feel better. The episode with Jeff and anytime he sang “It’s You I Like” made my adult self cry like a little child. I am definitely going to show this to my future children.

I thought I was the only one I was a pre teen when he passed, I was born in 91, I recall hearing about his death around maybe 2001 or 2002. forgive me for not being accurate but I just lost it, I haven't cried that hard for family members, the music hits, but it's something about his voice....he is a true trailblazer or selflessness and these kids will never know.... god bless you all

I never thought that I would see anything about Fred Rogers as moving as the documentary 'Won't You Be My Neighbor', but this surpassed it. I am crying so heavily right now. Fred was there for me during a very tough childhood. He was there for all of us and touched us all in some way that we needed. Those of us who grew up watching his show are still being guided by his lessons today. He definitely would be very happy about how he is being remembered. Fred, Its you I like. You are special. Thank you for just your being you.

I'm Korean, 67 and my daughter 42. When my husband studied for his Ph.D degree in USA, my daughter used to watch Mr. Rogers and said, "Mom I love Mr. Rogers so much. He is my true friend." I wondered who he was at that time. After so many years and watched Tom Hanks' movie and cried. We need a saint like him these days. He is a glow that brightened the world: the beginning is small but the end is great influence!

Born in 1969, can’t remember TV without Mr. Rogers. I felt like he was my friend (on TV.) He had this way of talking to you and giving you time to talk back to him, my mother recognized that as well. He made me feel special and good, just as I was. Fred Rogers, you did that job very right with at least one kid, I treasure those memories nearly above everything else from my early childhood. I was raised in a home where my parents got together and had me much too young and had relationships issues and when they weren't talking to each other I had Mr. Rogers who made me feel more loved than both my parents and the day he passed away I wept bitterly. There will never be another Mr. Rogers he was unique and irreplaceable. I'm sad for current generations and future ones that will never know that feeling of trust and caring first hand like I did.

I was born in the turn of the century but I was fortunate enough to be able watch Mr Rogers on PBS and on the VHS. We rented VHS tapes from the library. From the ages of 3 to 10 I watched Mr Rogers and other pbs shows (but nothing else). When I was 5 I had to start going to a public school with bad teachers and mean kids, my whole life started to be unhappy and I was jaded and depressed on and off because I knew kids and sometimes teacher acted horrible to me cause I was different. I still think that the mean elementary kids at school could have acted like good people if they were raised in a culture of sympathy and empathy. I mourn for generation Z children who do not watch Mr Rogers for whatever reason. Mr rogers neighborhood needs to be accessible on the internet to children.

Thank you for making this happen. I watched him avidly as young child in horrible childhood, listened carefully, grew hope for future. Grown as mother with a busy child, I wanted to share his values, and he became fascinated, set aside time daily from busy, active, imaginative play to listen focusing and enjoying. On his request, Halloween costumes as X the Owl and Henrietta Pussycat were created, delighted in by both children. He loved the cardigans, the change of shoes, the 🚎 trolley. Just to see my children watching, listening as I did years before gave me hope and delight for their future

Bravo! I thought I had seen every documentary on Fred Rogers that was out there. Was I ever wrong. This jumped to first place because of the content, flow, depth, balance and everything. My guess is that if Fred were here, he would choose this as his favorite, not that it glorified him so much as that it expressed his desire to see others showing kindness for their neighbors (read: those they come in contact with every day). You have captured the essence of Mr. Rogers like no others in this masterpiece. Bravo!

Fred Rogers is an absolute Blessing and a Treasure... a Breath of Fresh Air, in a Topsy Turvy world. He provided much needed Grounding which helped to Shape the Moralistic Character of Every Child Who Watched Him & Listened, Truly Listened to His Words & Messages. For me personally, he helped to weave my Moral Fiber, and his lessons are Still With Me Today.... I am 52 years old and I grew up watching Fred Rogers & his genuine, authentic programming, along with my parents due diligence, has absolutely shaped the type of parent & person that I grew up to be. I can only hope that his old fashioned, gentle, compassionate value system will continue to teach the many generations to come. Quality Programming is extremely Rare & I am very appreciative of his presence in my life, as well as in the lives of my children and grandchildren. I pray that God will Bless & Keep Fred Rogers for all eternity. Even to this present day.... This World Needs The Life Lessons, that we Should've All Learned in our Early Childhood Development, delivered by our Beloved Friend, Fred Rogers. All you need is to get out on the road to drive anywhere, and you can clearly see that this world Still Needs to be reminded of the life lessons that came from our very Sweet, Patient, Kind, Compassionate, Humble, Fred Rogers... God Bless You Fred and Everyone who had a role in bringing his vision to all us & to the masses! Thank You!🙏🏻🙂 I can only aspire to be more like Fred.... I think we All Should. This documentary captures his true essence very well and is masterfully done. Kudos to everyone involved. My hope is that Fred Rogers, his meaningful & essential programming be kept alive forever!

Greetings, I would just like to say that this looks as solid as Any fully professional documentary that I've seen in my years. Also that his message of kindness is needed now more than ever. I also find it interesting that he had so many accolades even though he was just a simple person trying to help others. I do believe that some people would buy this if it was on a digital download or dvd or something like that. I know I would. A great job to all involved. Also I was wondering what you originally thought when you got this assignment. And when I found out that this was made by teenagers tells me that hollywood better be careful of independent film makers like yourself telling a better story than I've seen out of that place in years with Very little exception. I hope that everyone involved with the making of this film have long great careers ahead of you. Have a wonderful day.

This makes me want to think that in today's political climate where there's so much tension and anxiety what if we had him on TV addressing topics such as violence for younger viewers boy would that be needed now.

I'm from another country in which we never heard of Fred Rogers. The Tom Hanks movie came out and I want to see it, but I need to learn who was Fred Rogers first. As far as I am learning the kind of person he was to so many children, the more I understand the admiration of so many. I hope the movie was good enough for those who loves him. Great documentary, right to the heart.

Fred Rogers would be honored of the work that you have done putting this documentary together! Beautiful job!! Thank you! He was my lifeline before I knew Jesus personally! He was a Godsend to my generation, a generation of Godless parents. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💜

Swift Fox Video: I, too, had no idea you were teenagers. Such a fabulous stand alone job of movie making. And, even more impressive because your youth implies you don't have many years of film making experience. If you do this great work now, and learn & do more & more, what amazing work you can do with each passing year. I wish you all the best of luck, strength & opportunities in your journeys forward.

We didn't have Mr Rogers in the UK, so I wasn't fortunate enough to grow up with him in my life. I have still burst into tears watching clips of this wonderful man. You know it's magic when it can you a grown man who doesn't have nostalgia to grasp on to.
