Australia East Coast Road Trip - Episode 1
We’ve arrived in Australia! This is the second stop on our travel year after spending three months travelling around New Zealand in a camper van. We’re here for two months and will be spending the first seven weeks embarking on an epic road trip up the East Coast from Sydney to Cairns, stopping at all the must-see places.
This episode documents our journey from Sydney to Shoal Bay in New South Wales. We visit Manly Beach and Bondi Beach, camp in Katoomba and go hiking in the Blue Mountains, look for wild koalas in Tilligerry Habitat and visit Stockton Sand Dunes, before arriving in Shoal Bay to climb Tomaree Head.

I love the Grand Canyon loop and Anvil rock near Blackheath . Kanangra Boyd NP and Wollemi National Park are part of the greater Blue mountain region . Port Stevens is great , so is the Hawks Nest Tea Gardens region and Stockton’s dunes . Keep your beautiful videos coming . I hope you are able to return to Australia , to discover other places including the Outback and off the beaten track places . I want to watch all your videos . Thank you !

Where did you rent your campervan, how much did you pay, etc? My girlfriend and I are looking to do a similar trip up the east coast!

Hey Joe, we hired from a company called Awesome Campers and it was about AU$3,500 for 50 days, plus insurance on top. It was one of the cheaper hire companies, but that comes with a bit more risk - our camper ran perfectly, but we met some people who hired from them that broke down repeatedly. If you can afford to pay a bit more to hire from one of the more well known companies, it’s probably worth it 👍 Hope you guys have an amazing time!
