New: Here is the link to our OVERLANDER tour, a high end 4x4 Class C RV we tried recently! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHy7iHaYjLSgnac&feature=share Thanks for tunin' in to our updated RV tour everyone! With the changes we've made and not being covered in snow we thought this would be a little more relevant. Hopefully this gives you all a good idea of the storage as well. Cheers friends! 😁🍁

This was a very informative video to watch. We are hoping to buy this next spring or so and full time it also.We are older (73&67) so this is a real lifestyle change. The RV's we have been looking at are the basically the same as yours, so seeing where you store everything really helped us get a better picture what to do with our 'stuff'. Thank you for the great video.

Hey David! Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and found it useful. Its a great sized rig with easier maneuverability than a big rig while still having a good amount of living space/storage. Sure it'll be a big change, but an exciting adventure for you two hope you have a blast! We jumped into it across Canada last year and haven't looked back haha. Cheers!😁🍁

I really enjoyed the tour. You know way more about your RV than any salesman would. You both also seem to have figured out your very best use for each space. It’s always interesting how RVers adapt to whatever space they have to work with. I was impressed with your lack of overstuffing everything. All the storage spaces seemed to have room to spare.
@LukeandAlysha4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, appreciate that! This space sure has been a comfortable fit for all our stuff, and that is with some extra stuff we could have not packed and also living out of it for a while now as opposed to just using it for weekend camping trips. Glad you enjoyed the tour, take care out there 😄🍁

What a great video, thank you !!! I never heard of this make of Class C, but it looks real nice. Went to their website (I think) and all I saw was truck campers? You guys did a great job - what a terrific couple - bless you both - well spoken as well !!! Question - how often do you have to fill your propane?
@LukeandAlysha4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! The Class C's start as rentals and then they sell them off used from the dealer, or that's how we found ours at least otherwise yeah ALP does also make the truck campers out of Yakima I believe. As for propane I would say it lasts upwards of 3 weeks to a month without using the heater much, and maybe more like half a month in the earlier winter seasons. Thanks for watching and take care!🙂🍁

Nice Doug! I really feel like 23 is the perfect mix between having a good amount of space and storage while still being able to park in cities or maneuver on forest service roads. We just watched your video and enjoyed seeing the upgrades you've made. One thing we noticed is your weights are stored in a compartment in your slide. We were told that you want to keep that extra weight out of the slide area because it wears out the slide mechanisms faster. You might want to consider putting those in a lower compartment and moving something lighter weight into the upper compartment. Happy travels. Looking forward to seeing more of beautiful Canada through your videos.

Hello thanks for the tour , you have a really nice travel RV , as I last said I bought a 20 footer travel trailer I paid 11,000.00 at first I was upset that I paid too much . After looking at the price of these small under 5000 pound trailers and with the amazing package that came with mine , I know now that I got a really good deal actually an awesome deal . The light trailers can be pulled with an suv so they are high in demand they actually are more expensive than the bigger heavier trailers also very hard to find . My 20 foot is a hybrid the ends open to a sleeping quarter and it has a dry bath it's fibreglass the rims are aluminum and sporty looking I fall in love with it every time i go in it more and more as I also find new things with it . I plan on going to BC with my mom ,brother ,and her boyfriend ,the best thing I love is being able to cook in the open mountains ,my dish I am planning is stuffed green peppers and cabbage rolls , but I've been very sick for 8 months and hope my new trailer will help in my recovery ,as covid is stoping me from getting a hospital bed and the proper attention to get better . If we do the drive I may have to stop a lot and rest on the way I can always sleep in the trailer to gain my strength I was a long haul trucker and drove all across the us and canada this summer I hope we could go covid has also stoped my moms Kemo therapy it's a bad thing and Im scared as Im also a diabetic , Im happy to see you two doing the RV thing right and I'm learning from you so when I go to BC we will get the most out of our adventure , this is my second trailer my first was like a scamp real small you could only sleep in it .My new trailer is like a condo on four wheels and as a fellow camper I feel we are all like family keep up the good blogs I enjoy them even if we don't make it out this summer but the good thing is that I live in Dryden an where I parked my trailer no one has asked me or said move my trailer because I own the property it's parked on ain't that great thanks and all the best Trucker Kelly :)

Sounds like a bit of a rough time there for you guys but hope 2020 starts shaping up for you, perhaps you'll be able to get a mini trip in if nothing else. Sounds like a nice trailer too, part of me wonders if I'd enjoy a trailer to then have a vehicle to be able to drive around as well and leave the trailer at a site. Maybe someday! Take care out there 😄🍁

Hi Luke and Alysha, Your videos have been very helpful. I am looking at a previous rental from Fraser Adventurer MH 24DS and there is so little info on the web that I have found. Do you know exactly what the "Four Seasons" specifications are on these units ? I want to be able to use it when it below freezing at times. Not wicked cold but freezing.
@LukeandAlysha4 жыл бұрын
Hey there, glad they've been useful! You'd want to check with the dealership on all the details of course to be sure, but here's my take. If it's only getting a few below 0 over night it shouldn't be getting too frozen, but if your getting consistent days below 0, it may be risky. I believe most people still fully winterize and then put a little antifreeze into the black and grey tanks, then bring along water. That's what we're planning on trying at least. The really isn't that much insulation that I imagine most RVs all have, so it will still be requiring more propane to heat, and also all the battery the go with using the furnace blower fan. If you had hook ups to run an electric heater, or we're planning on using skirting then I'm not sure! We also sometimes leave out cabinet doors open to help expose all the water lines below sinks to keep the cupboard space warmer. Hope that helped, cheers!🙂🍁

I was wondering about fuel consumption. Do you have any idea about what miles per gallon your v - ten motor gets.also when the v- ten first came out they had a few problems but iv read that the bugs have been worked out. Can you relate any problems you have had with the V -10?

Not positive what the MPG would be right now unfortunately, but I usually calculate our trips at around a $0.40 Canadian per KM with current gas prices etc. A little pricey gas wise maybe but the engine itself has held up fine with no issues to report atleast. Cheers!

I have so many questions as a newby. What are you doing for Health Insurance? Is the RV the only form of transportation when you get to the camp site?

Nice organization. Love how the black/grey tank connection is at a decent height while many are under the rig. Hope you can check out The Living Forest Oceanside Campground. It’s in my bucket list and looks magical. They also have a bunch of videos of other places on the island you may not of heard of to visit :)

I agree Sue the Black/Grey tank location is so easy to access in that spot. We just looked at that campground and holy moly it looks amazing, dang. We figured a tour was in order since it was so difficult to do covered in snow and with no slide, and no new camera. Cheers!😁🍁

Great video - very cool setup you two have! I REALLY like the mods you made. Can you all recommend places where I could read up on how to do your ingenious electrical and propane upgrades? Thanks!

Can you give me details about the battery monitor. I'd like to have one. Don't like the 33 percent guess where it is method. Thanks.

How do you guys handle cat litter? Where does the cat go to the bathroom and how do you keep it clean?
@LukeandAlysha3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! We generally just leave the liter box sitting in the shower unless we need to use the shower of course!🙂🍁
