Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Randall has a strike but his defending is shambles, Tom Anderson is desperatly missing. Sam Cornish is a bloody good passer of the ball and a smart player but a lot of the goals are due to his weak physice and bad defening as a CDM. Our front three is absolutely fantastic.

Defense has no confidence in the keeper. So either they overcompensate or think too much or don’t give 100% because they know there’s no point. Not saying those are right attitudes and not excusing the bad defending, but it starts with the keeper. Ted Curd is an example of a good goalkeeper.

Was watching the body language of the players in the dressing room before the match. They looked the exact opposite of what Devs was saying he wanted to see. The early goals conceded was exactly what I expected to see. Hate to single players out, but the keeper is probably a priority to replace. And the team seem like they need some sort of motivation/team bonding to get things back on track (write this after seeing them go 2-0 down, don’t know whether they turned things around but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s going to take something inspiring to change what looks like a mainly mentality issue). * Clearly the team are fine in terms of cohesion. Really does say point to the keeper. Think teams gain confidence knowing that as long as they get a shot on target it will in all probability result in a goal.

HE'S MY FAVOURITE BIRD. What a performance. First hunting after the ball and stealing it for the first goal, and then the second goal is just outrageuous. I would be so ashamed as a defender. On another note, Wooldridge has been caught too many times out of position and other people having to cover for him. I see Pedro backtracking more than Matty.. I don't know if he's tired from all the games or if it's maybe Dev's strategy with overlapping fullbacks that this team 100% exploited.. from the moment we had a solid line at the back in the second half it looked better. Also Harry needs to find his composure. looks like he's a bit frustrated. PK on commentary was actually very good! Loved it
