Okay, I'm a 78 year old dad of three boys who ended up watching this incredible woman (as are all who carry life within themselves so bravely) deliver a little 'gingersnap' and ended up with tears in my eyes and gulping like a fish out of water! Who would guess that the feelings never go away after all of these years at the miracle of such strength and willingness to produce such a brave little 'snap' who ended up looking so GOOD. I know this happened a while ago, but thanks for bringing us along on such an incredible episode. Rest well, Allie---you "done well"!

You call 36 1/2 weeks early? By my estimate that is 9 1/2 months. That is when babies are born. OMG. It is not unusual for women to go into labor and have their babies two weeks in advance. Back in my day that was considered NORMAL. I had to chuckle when she was in "so much pain" in early labor. I thought...didn't anyone tell her about transition and that is the REAL pain??

@@carolmcc59 So now the months a woman has until full term is 10 months??? Hmmmm I guess both my births were "premies" I guess all my grandchildren were 'premies" when did this switch? Why is it pigs give birth in "months" 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days but now we are told NORMAL is 40 weeks for humans. When in all of my 64 years a womans pregancy was 9 months? I gave birth two weeks before my 9 months, so in essence I had a "premie?" Sounds like more medical fraud to me.

In 1973 my second son was born two weeks preterm. Like GS he had the violent breathing thing going on and basically the doctor told us he would likely not survive. The medical profession had not quite perfected what they know now. We prayed and asked God to intervene. I know it's a mystery why sometimes He does and sometimes it seems we're all alone in this world with our trouble. Thankfully, God did intervene and that struggling baby is now 48 years old! You are blessed with this child. Enjoy every minute because they do go by very quickly and before you know it he will be an adult! Blessings.

Trent and Allie - just wanted to chime in and say that I was born 4 MONTHS premature - and I weighed 1 pound 6 oz. I was in the NICU for the first 8-1/2 months on a ventilator. Aside from the scars from the adhesive pads remaining (due to me being so early, my skin was 1/2 the normal thickness), I'm perfectly healthy. I played competitive sports at a very high level my entire life - with no complications at all. I smiled through this entire video - both because you'll be ok, and the baby boy will be okay. Technology has made leaps and bounds since the mid 70's when I was born. Looking forward to your journey and thankful that you've allowed us to be a part of it - albeit a small one. God bless.

I held my breath from 7cm on, had no idea I could hold my breath that long. As a father of 5, I have been in the delivery room for each birth and happily relived those experiences while watching you guys. Trent's support and love for Allie during the birth was clearly evident. Allie's honesty and glances toward Trent during the pushing showed their connection, and yes, I teared up. I know you guys love each other very much, but that definition of love, has just increased dramatically. As the saying goes, "and then there are three". Congratulations, what a great day!!!!!

Awwww Allie, the look on your face when your baby was born, moved me to tears. Deeply happy for you both, watching you on your journey to becoming parents and living in your own house. Blessings to you all. Frank and Lika now have a baby brother.

Welcome to the world, Mr. Childs! You hit the jackpot in the parent department, and your grandparents are amazing too! Please let Mommy sleep through the night as soon as you can, and have fun snuggling with Lika and Frank 🐶💙👶🏻

So many emotions all at once. I burst into tears when he was laying there looking up at Trent and looked like he was smiling at his Daddy! Allie, I'm so amazed at how strong you were through the entire process! You rock! You both did fabulous!! You know how they say a baby looks more like one parent or the other and that changes from day to day? I could see both of you and all the grand parents all at the same time!!!!! Congratulations to you all! I couldn't be happier if it was my own grandchild!

Welcome to parenthood guys. It’s the most magical heart warming experience to happen. Your life has changed forever, but it doesn’t mean that your life stops or that it has to change to do different things to suit societies expectations, because that’s not the case. You can do what you want, go where you want and be who you want. All you need to do is adapt your dreams to include another person into the mix. Enjoy every moment in the now, don’t worry about the future, absorb every minute and hour right now, because you’ll end up focussing on future plans and you end up forgetting those awesome moments that passed you by. Congrats again xx

Allie is a rockstar! She is always so calm and collected even in crisis. As someone who has PTSD, I hope to see Trent share a little bit about how this new adventure affects his anxiety. I have heard some people say having a child helps lessen some anxiety as it takes you out of your head. I am so happy everyone is well! I also hope we get to see the fur siblings meet little Gingersnap! That is a lifelong nickname for sure!

I for one fear for GingerSnap because of Trent. But then I’m a survivor of quite bad abuse and I fully recognize his bad behavior. When I see Allie apologizing for Trent because of HER bad behavior, I see red flags. Trent’s bad behavior IS NOT YOUR FAULT ALLIE! Please I urge you both to get help! Get a qualified therapist (not a Mormon) who can help you. You will not survive this relationship without help NOW. Please. 🙏🏼♥️

Oh my gosh I’ve been checking 6 times a day waiting on your post. Allie you’re a born Mama and you showed grace and dignity throughout delivery. Trent you might have anxiety but you handled the birth process and helped Allie like a champ. Little ginger snap is PERFECTION!

I’ve had 4 kids. Can we all agree that our babies hear us making plans while they’re growing and lay in their fluids laughing at us all? Congratulations, this has been one hell of a ride! Love, KZbin Auntie!

Having had a son 1 month early and a daughter over 2 months early with an emergency C-section and 2 &1/2 lbs, I can empathize with what you were going through. I am incredibly fortunate to now have 2 happy, healthy adult children. You are correct that the science of today is nothing short of a miracle with how they can help keep a baby alive. Congrats & much love! BTW, he looks like Allie!!!

This is your baby setting the stage for y’all. He’s informing y’all ahead of time, this is how your life is going to go now! You’ll never want to change it for anything in the world! It’s the best chaos, unpredictability, spontaneity, you’ll ever love! I’m a planner, organizer, all around contained kinda person. Them BAMMM! Kids! That all went out the window! I learned to live in every moment vs. planning for every moment! Mom you did AMAZING! Any of us moms KNOW, that journey! We know how hard it is, we know what it takes, we know what is DEMANDS of you! You did it beautifully! You’ve officially be inducted into this amazing tribe, we call motherhood! Same goes for you too dad! You walked with her lockstep and as a woman I KNOW, the value of your partner! You were her rock during this! Be PROUD! Then in the end you both get your rewards, for a job well done! You got little ginger snap! He is simply gorgeous! He is a handsome little guy! Now the real fun begins! God Bless to all of you!
