It’s steep but a beautiful hike, something I didn’t know at the time i did this walk is that there is a hut not far off this track. I found it in another video if you want to look at it. Haha, At the time I had never heard of Jason English. Later that year I did the Rocky Trail 24hr (team of 4) and Jason won the Solo category. After 24hrs he looked pretty fresh compared to the guy that finished 2nd. That guy looked ruined 😂 I later saw Jason was tagged in a Rocky Trail post on Instagram so I went to his page and saw a post with the bike you see in this video. I did a bit of research and that’s when I realised who this guy was in my video. We did the walk on a Sunday so I worked out he would have been about 400km into the Barrington 500 and seriously did not look tied at all. Not to mention he just rode up the steepest hill ever. That guy is an absolute machine. Can also agree he was super friendly riding past 👍 Cheers for the comment and loved that someone recognised him 😀

Hi thanks for the video I really enjoyed. I just wondered how much your packs weighed and how long it took to make it to Wombat creek?

I think my pack was getting close to 20kg including camera gear and tripod. Sarah's was about 12kg from memory. We both had lots of water and my tent is apparently close to 4kg. We are definitely amateurs and use cheap heavy gear. Still loads of fun though. It took us around 5 hours to get to Wombat Creek but it could be done much quicker. Sarah has a lung condition and the hills really affect her. It's kind of good though as it gives me time to play with the camera :)

AdVANture ST Thanks for the info we are heading up there in two weeks but we will probably take the Link trail I think the Corker would kill us lol 😊

But risky admitting you were given a stay at home order, if the cops get onto this you could end up with a fine in the mail. Just letting you know, I think its bullshit as well but the police will find any way to raise a buck.
