I had UTI when I was in primary school. My doctor told me it was because I hold my pee too long which resulted in that, I was young and back then my teacher wasn’t allowing student to go to the toilet after recess so I hold it until I went back home and it was a painful experience. In the end my mom talked to the teacher and the teacher told me I can go to the toilet whenever I want to without asking her.

My horror story was that I went to the doctor for uti, the doc said “Wah you got it so young”. I was horrified that a doctor can say such a judgemental statement. I expected him to be professional and just tell me what I needed to know, not his personal judgment.

When I was preparing for my O Levels.. I had a pocky and coke diet coz I stress lor. Then 4 days before my Chinese paper, I went to pee in the morning and I was bleeding. Then I told my sister, “Jie.. I’m going to die” then she say “go die la” haha.. then I was in a lot of pain then I take taxi to sch coz I meeting friends to study. I gek until I reach school I run to toilet.. it was all blood and blood clots then I sweating cold sweat, so I told my friends “I gtg.. I’m dying” then of course before o levels no one care la. So I think I better go GP. So across the road I told the receptionist, i peeing blood. Then she just give me a container and ask me for pee sample. Then I go and came out gave her a whole fresh bloody sample. It’s like blood blood lor. Then she ask me where I get the blood from, I say PEE LA.. then she immediately knock knock door tell the GP then the GP came out and ask me to go a&e immediately they call ambulance. So I say.. nevermind la. I take taxi.. so I take the letter then go CGH.. then they memo say blood in pee so again, nurse ask for pee sample, so I gave fresh blood sample. By then I really wanna die but nobody really care they just shock over the blood lor.. then immediately send me this scan that scan etc and warded me. Then the conclusion was....... my UTI so bad until I “injured” my kidney.. so they drip me antibiotics etc.. then I discharge and go for my exam paper. Haha.. from that incident sometimes I got little bit feeling I run to GP to standby the antibiotics and I start the effervescence and the cranberry lor. I get it about 2 times a year.. but ok la. Never so bad again. Oh.. the worse part was not the UTi la. Was my mother at the a&e when she see my pee blood sample was crying and screaming “ying ying 要死了，医生快救她！” her drama i cannot.

Besides Cranberry juice, you can also hv yogurt, that helps! It helped me when I was overseas too, rushed to supermarket n bought plain yogurt, ate as much as I cld!

My UTI horror story was super embarrassing! I was having UTI during a normal work weekday and I had to go buy lunch, then a wave of "I need to pee" came but I was in the queue and about to pay for my lunch. I thought I could hold it in and rush to the toilet but nope, the pee decided to open it's flood gate, I immediately ran to the toilet with pee flowing down my leg. I hope no one noticed it, after all the canteen was quite empty.

My worst uti story happened when i just turn 14. i was overseas and it started when i realised it hurt damn bad when i peed. I (obviously) wasn't sexually active and was super confused but ignored it for a night. The next morning, the pain was excruciating, it felt as if my vagina was ripping apart? i even began to question if someone had violated me 😭 the area around really hurt and what made it worse was that i was on my period and i had to use pads.. i didn't want to tell my mum cos i was confused as to what it was and was embarrassed. i finally told her after keeping it to myself for about two days? And walking was so damn painful, you could see my limp. My mum examined it and the whole area was super red, i had not only uti, but abrasion and had to wait for a few days before we flew back to singapore and getting it treated. The doctor was like "oh you poor thing". Because i got it treated late, and had terrible abrasion, the whole thing was a nightmare. 10/10 wouldn't wish this on my enemy.

My worst UTI experience was when we were in Malaysia, and travelling back to Singapore. Before our trip home, I was already feeling symptoms.. I need to pee frequently and it's already painful.. Only few hours before our trip, so no time to get checked. During our bus ride from KL to SG, I was just trying to hold my pee.... that's freaking 6 hours of suffering T_T I was already crying, and for the first time in my life I wished that I could cry urine to relieve my pain.

My worse experience was last year around October i was admitted to the hospital having high fever and alot of pain at my abdominal area. I had a xray scan to check what is going on after doctors have checked they diagnosed me with kidney infection As UTI was discovered quite late . Hope female out there becareful and stay safe 😊

Had my first UTI when I'm 40. I kept feeling that my bladder is going to burst but only a little pee comes out. Later I saw a bit of blood in my pee. Went to a 24hr GP and he asked me to pee in a cup. It was so painful and my pee looks like red wine with small blood clots! Gave me some medication and a letter for A&E if my pee still remains the same after 12 hrs. It was so scary and I thought I have kidney problems. Luckily there was no more blood in the next morning.

There was once where I needed to take a very long bus ride and there was no toliet at sight. Had UTI, ended up had to tahan. Managed to reached my destination, but alot of pee leak out while I was rushing to the toliet. Bobian, have to pretend in the end like as if nothing happen.

my first uti happened when I was very young in secondary school. My goodness it hurt like a bitch, I remember it was right in the middle of o levels as well. And even better I had to go to the pharmacy myself right after school and look at the pharmacist and describe my symptoms and being like Sylvia thinking it's cancer etc. Thankfully the pharmacist was calm and just said 'oh ok girl you just take this cranberry juice sachets no need until antibiotics' and after 3 days the pain was gone. Luckily never really got uti after that

I have UTI again last week and I'm currently pregnant. Last Monday night, i woke up to pee. I felt pain at my lower abdomen area throughout peeing and the pain continued for more than 5 minutes even after; while i was laying in bed. The next day i went to the gynae for an emergency appointment because i got paranoid and thought that something very bad happened to my baby. However, after scanning, the gynae said the baby was doing well. He made me do a urine test and the test results came back positive for uti. Turns out i was the one who was not doing well. 😂😂😂 This is my 2nd time getting uti and it's not a very pleasant experience.

I did not have an UTI yet so far! Which i hope I will not! 🤞🏻 but I had a friend who had a very bad UTI story. We were in school. She were having a very bad pain. She were sexually actively too. She need to go toilet every 10-15mins. We were extremely worried if anything worst will happen to her. Finally the pain was so unbearable. She decide to take leave from school and go and see a doctor. The doctor told her it was UTI. I didn’t know what was it at first. But we were glad it’s not the worst case scenario for her. I hope to win this giveaway so I can improve my own female health and prevention.

I was in Uni when I first got UTI. When I first visited the school doctor, I informed him that I had burning sensation when I pee/there was a little blood/and the pee smells. So the doctor ordered for a pee test and took a sample of my vaginal secretions to test for BV/yeast infection. A week later, I went back and the doc said that no STIs but pee sample was contaminated and asked me to go for another test. I told him that I suspected it was UTI and requested for meds; but the doc insisted that it wasn't and wanted to do more tests. I googled and found out that cranberry and Citravescent helps with UTI so I went to get some myself instead. Went back to the doc again 1 week later for results, and he said the pee sample was contaminated AGAIN because there was bacteria and trace blood in it.. so I told the doc that these shows UTI? but he INSISTED again that it definitely wasnt UTI and made me do another pee test. By then my UTI had cleared up.. went back to the doc a week later again and he said that my pee was clean and nothing wrong, and I told him my UTI cleared up because I self-medicated and he INSISTED AGAIN that IT CONFRIM PLUS CHOP CANNOT BE UTI.. Said that I didnt have anything wrong in the first place, just did not pee in the cup properly which caused delay/wasted his time. like OMFG TO AND FRO TO THE DOCS FOR ALMOST A MONTH Googled again and found out that delayed treatment in UTI could cause some complications to kidneys, so went to normal GP to do more tests. luckily no issues. but seriously it was such a frustrating experience. btw, not peeing after sex is one of the key triggers for me as well. and it is indeed irritating that I can't find pure cranberry juice at supermarkets

I have an attack every few months and there is always the indication of pain and the fear to go to the toilet even though you are constantly dashing to it. The worst incident i had was when I was 24 years old and almost fainted at home. I was rushed to the hospital and the doctor in the A&E wanted to insert a catheter to do a test on my urine since I was running a high fever. The nurse tried to ask the doctor to let me pee on my own since I'm conscious and she can help me to the washroom but he refused. Till date, the pain of inserting a catheter is forever burn in mind. I will never ever allow another catheter test again when I'm conscious. I had fever going up and down for the next few days. It got so bad that I had to ask nurses for 3 blankets as I was shivering so badly. My fever finally broke on the 4th day and I was discharged after a full 24 hour all clear. Honestly hope no one has to experience this ever.

So gurl here have many UTI stories (Hi-Five Sylvia), but one of the really bad ones was that after getting a UTI and thinking I had recovered, I went to JB with my friends (by bus). After having breakfast in JB, I constantly felt like I needed to pee & I was also in so so much pain. I couldn't really tell my friends as 1 was a guy & the other girl doesn't really know these sorta stuff. I had to deal with the whole discomfort the entire day as I didn't wanna be a wet blanket. Once I was back in Singapore, I immediately called my best friend telling her that I needed to head to NUH cause I felt like I was dying. I told her to meet me at the hospital directly cause all I had with me was RM, didn't bring my cards and only had SGD20, so needed her to pay for it. Reason I didn't inform my parents was because I thought my UTI had fully recovered & was suspecting this to be something really serious. In the end the doctor said it was just a really serious case of UTI and that the previous medication wasn't sufficient. Well, since we're on this topic I would just like to share that there was this other time where I had UTI, I was also experiencing something weird below. After worrying & thinking if I have any STD, I went to see a doctor and found out I had yeast infection while also having UTI. I heard it's very common to have both (yeast infection & UTI) at the same time. I shall stop here, other related stories for another time if similar topic ever pop up! Cheers :)

I didn’t search for any remedy (because I wasn’t educated on what UTI is) and that I realised that applying pressure on her kinda relieves some pain! So I kiap my leg together for the whole presentation and sat at the toilet for the longest time after that! It’s only when I went to the doctor then I was educated on what exactly UTI is. Horrendous experience 😱

i had mine in the 20s. i was told that i didn’t drink enough water. so was ask to drink lots of water to flush it out. ever since when i feel that it (uti) coming, i’ll just drink lots of water and keep gg to the toilet and it had nv come back since. so i think water is good enough if there is no cranberry :)

I have been having UTI since I was very young, like 5 years old (the earliest I can remember) due to my biological reason (similar to Sylvia). The most horrible UTI that I had was in 2017. I remember that it started with a pain on my right waist that penetrates to the back. I didn't think much about it as I thought it just a muscle pain. But when I went to toilet to pee, that's where the horror starts. It was blood, literally lots blood and my toilet bowl looks like a I just murdered someone there. It was not even pink in colour but dark red because there was so much blood. I tried to pee again but I couldn't and it was so painful to pee. I went to 24hr clinic (since it was already at 8 pm) and luckily there was not many people. After I told the GP, he told me to go to A&E (since I told him that it was all blood, the pee is not even visible) which I did. The saddest part is that I lived alone in Singapore, so I had to go to the A&E alone and had to wait there for hours since UTI was not life threatening. On my way to hospital, I was so scared as I didn't know what was wrong with me so I called my BFF and told him my will (like to call my mum and told her that I love her, my bank account pin number, etc) because I thought I might be dying (LOL). So at the A&E, the told me to a urine test and I told them that I had difficulty urinating but they told me to force it out. It was so painful and I just saw blood on that small little cup (urine collection cup). The person who took the cup was a bit confused to see that the cup is full of dark red liquid. I told her that's why I came to A&E for UTI. They also did X-ray on my abdomen. About 1 AM, I finally get to see the doctor who explained my result. He told me that I need to see a specialist for further tests and gave me medications so I could pee again and some antibiotics. Luckily after the further check up, they found nothing else (my kidney and bladder were normal), just UTI. I still had pain while peeing few days after that. TLDR: the UTI caused me to pee lots of blood and I had to go to hospital (alone) for that. So this gift would be very helpful for me as my last urine test (last month) showed that I had UTI again (though I am sexually inactive). I may start taking that on regular basis if the kinohimitsu really helps with UTI.

My horror story: I had uti while working so i left early. On my way home, I needed to pee but I did not want to exit the MRT to look for a toilet so I just waited until my stop. ( journey from somewhere near the west to east lol ) When I finally peed, it was suuuuuper pain when the pee was 'ending' so after that I wiped. On the tissue, there was this very tiny fungus looking thing which probably came out from my pee hole thats why it hurt so much. i was so scared i thought my bladder was rotten....... dont hold ur bladder when u have uti !!!!!!!!!!!!!

one time i had uti in school and every 10 mins while walking, i had to go toilet and sit on the toilet bowl, and somehow every time i sat on the toilet it helps, but every time i left the toilet, the pain/soreness would come back again. whenever i sat on the toilet, my coochie area would BURNNNN, so thank god now i take extra precaution to take care of my downstairs area so that i don't have to suffer uti again

my first and worst UTI experience is when I was about to join a new company. The co needed us employees to have a good health screening result so all of my result was okay except the doctor was like "there seems to be bacteria in your urine". cause of that, I cannot start work on the communicated day (early Sept) and I had to be clear from the UTI, retake the urine test and ensure I pass the urine test before I can report to HR to start work. I basically started one month later (early Oct) after going thru the test again and because of that I also missed the window to qualify for year end bonus. oh, and my dept head and colleagues thought I was problematic because HR didn't inform them that my start date was delayed due to health check related issues.

My worst story uti wasnt mine, but it scares the shit outta all 3 of our bestfriends. It happens when in the middle of pandemic when we about to go back to college for our last semester in the middle of covid to spent our last month together. Everyone prepared for the trip and suddenly our friend got hospitalized for a lower abdominal pain. The initial check ups are on the lower abdominal in various possibility from kidney problem, tumor, allll the way to cancer as the clinic dr 'suspect' it till need to made ct scan. The checkup took the whole ass day for her and result only come out next tomorrow morning. So that night we had a vc trying to hide our tears and cheer up for her but everyone cried at last thinking that sis only got some some month to live. But then tomorrow result come out, eh got nothing in ct scan, so they did simple urine test and found out its uti. XD

wtf Nina's first UTI was at 29?!?!?!? so freaking lucky. I got my first UTI during primary school and it only got worse during sec school, like every year will kena 6 times wtf ded. only recently I went to get it checked again after suffering for so many years and the doctor said that cause period hormones will make me so susceptible that's why I always get it during my period -_- anyway he says its normal for women to get it around 2-3 times per year cause our tract is very short hahah. now I always spam cranberry and probiotics before and during my period hahah.

There’s a slight difference between the Herpes Simplex Virus HSV-1 and HSV-2 that would be good to highlight to the audiences. Some people can actually be born with it due to the its mode of transmission that can be non-sexual in nature. Sometimes it would be good to make this difference known to prevent stigmatising people with HSV of the different types.

I had my first UTI experience when i was 14. Most probably due to not drinking enough water and always holding in pee LOL. But anyway, it started with just having a peeing sensation CONSTANTLY and when i actually pee, nothing much came out. It then got quite uncomfortable and painful. Towards the end of the day, I actually peed blood and that's when i decided to tell my mom. We then drove to our family doctor and he asked me for a pee sample (UGH GROSS) which was just quite stupid because i already have NO PEE to pee out lah. After finding out that i had UTI, the doc told me to take an antibiotic and all the "preventive measures" and ok byebye see u never. So after getting back in the car i immediately took the antibiotic and happily heaved a sigh of relief thinking ok great it's the end. Went back home, eyes started swelling, face started swelling, throat started swelling and my father just looked at me with a face of annoyance and said "你做么!". Rushed me back to the same doctor within 30mins since i left the clinic and got declared that i am allergic to the only UTI antibiotic he had in the clinic. Got an allergy jab and was told to not take the antibiotic meds (duh) and had to suffer from the UTI symptoms for a week before the pain slowly went away by itself. Conclusion: UTI sucks, drink lots of water, never hold in pee and always wipe from front to back. Also, u never know which meds u are allergic to HAHA

My worse is my first ever one at 19, totally clueless about what was going on and freaking the hell out :_: I was working as an intern and I realised I constantly needed to go pee and my boss was also a man so I didn't know what to tell him other than I drank too much water. awk... I relate with Nina so much about the orgasm thing. It wasn't as bad initially and you just feel the shivers but eventually, it started to hurt more and more. I couldn't take an MC because it's gonna affect my intern grades so I had to deal with it till my next off day to see the doctor. I didn't request to be seen by a female doctor since I had no idea what was going on and got schooled by my house GP about protection and to not be a hoe in front of my mum. .-.
