Thanks for this excellent and extensive tour or your house and garden. Fabulous renovations so far, and the next work should be equally great. I remember the views to mountains to the west; it is so nice to see that again. It will be spectacular from the new kitchen.

For your roof , we do the same thing here in Provence, France with the Mistral, a very strong and powerful wind, we add stones to the tiles, but never cement them cause the house needs to breath, plus the cement tend to break them. Nice video, thanks for sharing.

My wife and I just returned from Vinchiaturo in Oct 2023. My great great nonna was born there in 1876 and grew up and married in 1903. She lived at 46 via Borgo. Today the property is a 2 story with no roof, just the side door entry with steps. When looking out the front of her place, just to the left looking toward the hillside, there is a small black lion headed fountain that was used by the community for water. Wondering if you know where this property is and we'd like to know how far you are from this point. We're so excited to have found your KZbin and it brought back many memories!

Hi, I'm so glad you found our channel. That is our street. Ben's grandfather was born at 29 Via Borgo. I think that house is where the fountain is that you are talking about. We are at the other end of the street at the beginning.

Hello from Ontario Canada. I discovered your story on a CTV article that came from CNN. I’m sure you’ll get a lot more Canadian subscribers. I am anxious to start watching from the beginning on your new life in Italy. You did a fabulous job recording this video - slow and easy to follow the layout of the land. I find it interesting that you own the land behind your neighbours house and it seems they don’t have a garden area? Congratulations on your move and I look forward to learning more about you both and this region.

Thanks for watching and subscribing. So the neighbor told us that his father traded their property for a piece of prosciutto. Not sure if that is true but it's a good story and very Italian.

Hi, just subscribed and watched 1st 10 minutes. I would think the rocks, particularly on the edges, are to keep snow and ice from sliding off the roofs when you close a door hard. It can be dangerous! Love your channel, guys !

Your video is truly inspiring, and it's incredible to see you both living your dreams in Italy. I came across your story on CNN, and it resonated with me. I'm considering a similar path upon retirement, but obtaining Italian or EU citizenship has proven challenging. The Italian embassy in Canada suspended the program due to a high volume of applicants. Did you seek assistance from someone in Italy during your application process? I'm exploring options and would appreciate any guidance you can offer.
@ouritalianadventures6190 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I would say it's better to work with an Italian law firm specializing in citizenship. It is faster than doing an embassy but you will need to come to Italian for 3 weeks at the end. We used this firm below. I hope the link works. www.studiolegalemetta.com/?fbclid=IwAR3NIPaqKvs4zvp97_aCVwjaneJIi6hqe3zqppZWwQx45rur3HFeoHx5t8I It was worth the money and they speak English as well as Italian. Let me know if we can help in anyway or any other questions.

@@ouritalianadventures6190 thank you so much for the advice. I will definitely reach out to them. Looking forward to seeing your future videos as you settle in to this new chapter of life in Italy.
