Legends Mod for Battle Brothers is the largest expansion-type mod available to the game. It contains plenty of new enemies, brothers, perks, magic, origins, etc. You can even play as the skeletons, a necromancer or even a druid, amongst many other starts. The sub-mods; Battle Sisters and Dynamic Perks adds a lot of variety to the game (World Economy and Theriantrophy are still a work in progress).

I know this a old video, but wanted to leave a comment, I enjoyed your content and style. I don't remember what I was searching for regarding the Peasant Militia, but it's nice to get a glimpse at what Legends has to offer. I'm certainly not prepared for it lol Oh, and give that kitty some love!

Many thanks for the nice comment :) Don't sell yourself too short though, legends isn't that bad on veteran difficulty. I'd definitely recommend getting into it once you get a good grasp on the base game mechanics! And I'll give an extra hug to the kitty for sure! (he never says no to extra spoiling haha)

I always get at least one minstrel (or skald, etc.) You should check out their specialized perks. They have a tier 1 ability that (iirc) allows them to sacrifice 3 action points to give 1 to another brother. It's extremely useful even if they don't have any good stats

Hey, about a camping during caravan. You can keep some of the guys in scouting tent, then you will see urself and will scout a huge area during a travel. And yes it seems a bit unintended, but very useful due u can get buffs from trainings and farm a bit medicine and ammo.

I've discovered it a few days ago as well, and it's clearly not a feature. I use it occasionally early game, but if you want to cheat in a single player game there are easier ways. Lol

Just started playing the updated beggar challenge start. It's pretty fun. You absorb stats and perks from enemies you kill. Had to ask on discord for details on mechanics since there is no information ingame.

Yeah the in-game descriptions aren't always the most helpful. But the new improved begger challenge does look cool indeed, seems a bit more viable that you can 'upgrade' your begger avatar (cause he really does suck lol)

In a way it's similar to peasant militia since you are also restricted to low born recruits, but without the weight reduction and with weak avatar early game is quite brutal. Probably not the best candidate for a video playthrough unless heavily edited because you pretty much have to save scum early on.

I don’t know if you knew this, but when leveling up if you pick your perk first then your stats, you get better roll stats.

Is the red tile in combat an extra mod or can you turn it on just in legends alone?

It's part of the legends mod. Hiding trees is from the base game, but the red hexes to show 'impassable' terrain is from legends :)

Veteran and beginner "challenge" yeah .. and lowborns dont suck all the time, i always build 100 gold 3 stars rat catcher, apprentice or 400 gold millitia, deserters no matter the starting background

One of the earlier seasons to be fair. Was more of a challenge as an origin and it's associated constraints, not really a challenge because of the difficulty choice. If Veteran is easy for you, I'm glad :) We've moved on to expert in season 6 and legendary in season 7 if you want to see higher difficulties.
