It wwould take little Gracie time to become accustomed to living inside, too. Whole new world. I've always found that once we bring a kitty inside, just keep them in -- easier to adjust than going in & out. You love them and will do what's best for them. 😊

Prayers for Little Gracie and all of those who feel like outcasts. Love is the greatest healing balm. I have a Special Needs Child. I was so afraid at first. How will I provided all the needs of a child that isn't able to communicate well. But you know what Mr. Tom, that boy is a shining light. He sees things others do NOT see. His random conversations make us all stop and look and take time out of just existing. We are all more consciously aware in his presence. So many have reached out and offered him special attention, offered their time, their talents and that kid has exceed everything the medical experts told us would be the norm. That boy has risen above all of the status quo and shown us all really the magic in that one special one. God bless you Mr. Tom.

Oh Mr. Tom, I thought that about Gracie when she came home, that she wasn't going to be an outside kitty. The others don't seem to accept her like the rest of the black ones. Racial kitties, who'd have thought. Somehow, God will make a way for Trixie and Gracie to become fast friends. I'll be praying for you all. She is so shy. Loose dogs are not tolerated where I live and if they do we called animal shelter they come and get them we’ve had problem with that when people but they actually took him to court and press charges and after that and it cost him some money that right they are stopped up and they haven’t been out since something like that just might have to happen in order to make them realize that their dog simply are not allowed to run around three that they have to be under control or leash law

@@cynthialewis4313 That is a great solution to the problem and I do wish that it happened more often. I personally have seen people dump dogs off at supermarket parking lots in the past. Very sad thing. Some police departments have cut back or eliminated their animal control officers and so getting a quick response isn't always possible. Some of the slack is being taken up by animal rescue groups which does help. It is a sad commentary on some dog owners.

I agree with you. I have dogs that have never been raised around cats. I have feral outside cats that I feed and also bought heated cat houses for. So I take care of cats and dogs. People need to take care of their animals. Love your cats.

You're a good man, Mr. Tom, taking care of those cats & kittens. Blessings to you. I'm like you & got a soft spot for the runts. Compassion lives in all loving hearts. My cat, Lily, escaped at 6 months & came back pregnant. I had no money to get her fixed so she presented me with 6 kittens, 5 females & 1 male b/c of course there were 5 females. Luckily the male seems not to be able to breed--testicles didn't descend. Then Lily escaped while nursing her kittens. FYI, a cat CAN get pregnant again while she's nursing. 8 this time but all of them died, one after the other, around 3 weeks. A wasting neurological condition that interferes with their ability to temperature regulate. Now I really can't afford 6 female cat surgeries so I'll try getting them 1 by 1 as I can. In the meantime, they're inside. You don't want to know what the litterbox is like with 7 cats using it! Pray for ME, please, b/c I'm 60, here alone all day, dealing with these cats, 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, 1 old horse & 1special needs critter from the wild who can't be released back into the wild but I love her. She's a good bed buddy, better at the potty box than the cats & just loves my feet to death! LOL I love your cooking episodes; watch them religiously. It reminds me of my mama's cooking. Did all mamas down here cook the same things? I guess if we were poor they did but I wouldn't trade that for the world, would you? Well, blessings again. Stay well

Selene, there are low and no cost spay and neuter clinics throughout the US. Check online for one nearest you. I've had cats nearly all my life--sometimes one at a time and sometimes in herds--so I know what you mean about numerous cats using the litter box. LOL I like the sound of your household zoo. Animals are such great companions. I enjoy Mr. Tom's video's as well. It's like hearing what's new with your brother.

Perhaps multiple litter boxes would help. I've read have 1 litter box for each cat plus 1 extra box, but we only have 2 boxes for our boys. They are scooped at least twice a day. Often they will use it within minutes after it scooped almost like they were wanting for it to be cleaned. One will even come into the room when we're scooping & use the clean box. Mine really like a clean litter box.

She's a dainty pretty little girl! Gracie will be a great addition inside your home! Trix is used to being the queen of her domain so I will do some praying for her and Trix accept each other as Mr. Tom 's inside kitties. Pit bulls are not my fave breed of dogs and I apologize for that! They seem way too aggressive to me! Bear is 100% pure bred entelbucker and Jerry and I adopted him. He was spayed before we were allowed to get him. He and Sugar Bear made a great pair..such faithful dogs! Bear has our acre to run and play outside but he is my inside dog and loyal companion. The place is fenced so he does not bother others and nothing harms me or him! Loved your video of all! I think gracie and all the others will have a guardian Angel..our precious Sugar Bear. Gracie is my favorite...a gentle surviver. I remember when she was so ill and she allowed you to put her on your lap and just pet her, showing love. No longer an outside cat. I think Trixie will warm up to and accept this kitten. I wouldn’t leave her outdoors. She will always trust you. Gracie is Beautiful!! My Tortoiseshell cat turned 20 in September. My vet told me tortoiseshell. cats. "Are stubborn!" He is right. ! My Tortoiseshell cat is very stubborn!! I adopted a black cat/later a dilute Calico from 2 separate shelters.. My Tortoiseshell didn't much like them!! However, My Tortoiseshell and the 2 adopted cats got along. I think having Trixie and Gracie both inside is ideal. Even though they might act like they're standoffish and they don't care for one another especially Trixie for Gracie give her time she will warm up and they might not be like playing Pals but they will eventually get to the point where they'll lie in the same room together and they'll seek each other out.

Yes, please Mr. Tom, make sure you have the tools to stay safe, right by the door.. Clearly the owner/s of these dogs are clueless. Therefore the dogs can't have been trained worth a toot. Ammonia spray, pepper spray, a heavy broomstick or something like it, (Or my Colt Revolver :-)). I am a nice person too, but that will change the instant my Kitties are threatened.

I'm glad you brought that sweet baby inside Mr. Tom. I feel like your reasoning is solid just from the little we can observe from your videos. Trixie hopefully will adapt 🙏 as I feel this is the right move for Gracie's sake. My daughter's going through cat adapting right now as she adopted another cat last weekend and has one at home. She's not got alot of space to introduce them slowly through smell and closed off doorways so there's been a moment of high tension or two. She's trying a multiple cat plug in soothing device that helps promote better relationships between cats. They have it at most pet stores if in stock or on Chewy.com. Maybe give it a try if all else fails.

I feed at least 3 feral Kitties one I call Trouble ,I havent named the others just yet I need to see about catching them so I can get them fixed Lord knows we dont need anymore running around I know there more seen a white one and at least 3 other tabby kitties around here too I fill up a med. size dog dish 2 times a day .At night I know there are a few other critters that enjoy the left overs. I think you should take Gracie in the house in a cage so Trixie can smell her and get used to her smell! In a few days, Trixie will get used to her and Gracie will be able to walk around the house and have her own place to hide in her crate or carrier when she wants to get away! Like I said before, I think Gracie is going to be the next "Trixie" in the house! I think Cleo rejected her when she got sick and never looked back! You definitely do need a crate for Gracie in the house,since Trixie doesn't seem to want to share her space! But it is your house, too and you are the boss whether Trixie likes it or not!! Those of us that live alone we have a animals for company. My cats 4 of them I Love them so much they are always there too Love us just for who we are. I lost a cat by 2 dogs one of the worst days of my life..Keep them babies safe Mr Tom. I Love little Gracie. .Prayers for all..

We introduced a kitten to a senior cat many years ago and had a few initial issues and solved them this way---when the younger one was given food in his dish the older one got food in his dish too. This helped with food aggression and jealousy. Trixie may adjust quicker if she has a "special dish" put down at the same time. The first few times she may hiss and act as if she prefers Gracie's but eventually through your interventions at mealtime boundaries will be established. Another issue we ran into was the litter box issue. At first, the older one was territorial about the litter box. So we went and purchased a cheap plastic tray litter box at the grocery store for the little one and as he grew big he began using the big one. By then our old cat was adjusted to him. Trixie is quite possessive of you and for good reason so when you pet Gracie or talk to her--pet Miss Trixie too. It all sounds crazy but doing this worked for us and I hope Gracie can stay inside and keep you and Miss Trixie company. I surely enjoyed seeing her tonight. Every one of them so well cared for. That baby Graycie sure is a sweet pea! You keep lovin her the way you do and she’ll grow up to be as sassy as her Mamaw Trix! A cage really might help. We kept out baby cat in an old guinea pig cage when she came to us to make sure our big boy cat got used to her. Oh and she did throw some cute fits about it! 😅 Now they’re best good friends though. But you know your house so you do you! We all know you got this Mr. Tom! We love you. Thanks for another update! Take care and please don’t wear yourself out fightin off those those bad old dogs!
