There are many men who want to get a woman pregnant (particularly a successful woman), so that they can always be a part of their life. It's a type of entrapment. This was so hard to watch but I'm glad Ramses decided to walk away. I feel like so many couples force a marriage just because they're on a show. I could see them dating some more to learn each other, but marriage within 4 weeks with all of the issues they had was too quick. The Ramses Melissa scene was heartbreaking. She was devastated. I don't fault Ramses for breaking up with her, better there than at the altar, but he showed some cowardice in the way he did it. Instead of just telling her, straightforwardly, that he was not ready to commit to marriage, which is completely fair after knowing each other for six weeks, he did all this word salad putting it on first talking to other people then on how he hurt his ex-wife and was worrying about hurting her, then on her "energy." All that talking around it and presented reasons that seemed like they could be defeated that left the door open for her feeling like she could negotiate and change his mind. Then you let her think its something about her personality rather than you just not really wanting to get married. He is that kind of guy who in trying to look like a good guy, is actually cruel. He is the definition of being or thinking of himself as "nice," but not actually being kind. What I don't get is why we never see any of these couples, who claim to love each other so much, just mutually agree not to rush to marriage and back off and date. Or even stay engaged but get off the show schedule and just take more time to get to know each other. People always say they want to "follow through on the experiment" but why, why let the external structure and demands of this show, which it has become clear you can leave at a certain point, determine one of the most important decisions of your life? Maybe, particularly for women it is just too hard to go back to dating after being a "fiancé" but most of the time it seems like when the guys end it, they just end it completely. It makes me think they were never intending to get married at all and didn't even actually like the person that much, because how were you seriously considering marrying someone you don't even want to date. I fast-fowarded every scene with Tyler and Ashlee. I only slowed down their wedding enough to hear Ashlee say "I do" cause somehow though I knew better I still hoped she wouldn't. I cannot believe the little bit of conversation we saw between Ashlee and Tyler was all there was addressing the kids situation. What about the documentation that you said you needed to see? You didn't ask to talk to this lesbian friend to confirm this story? Ask him to carify what he meant by "he didn't think" they knew what he looked like? I think she either didn't ask more because she just refused to find out the truth so it wouldn't disrupt her dream, or she knows or suspects a bit more than she let on on camera. I don't think Tyler has ever shed a real tear on this show. I think one of his goals for all this is to be an actor or something and that's why he was swiping at all those little crocodile tears.

I get that people love mess, but to love it so much that you can’t enjoy a healthy relationship…😪 you were spot on from Fong’s emotionless face 😂 to Taylor’s dress 😅 and thinking we weren’t going to see Garrett’s parents. Thank you for highlighting Taylor’s use of the word “apricity”. Their vows to each other were some of the best I’ve ever heard and I am so happy for them. Many people say they are bored by them and maybe it’s because I am a science nerd that I loved their little science nerd puns but I don’t care. Their story was very meaningful and I pray that their marriage lasts.

Yes!! I’m a person who had an amazing father and I have super amazing men on both sides of my family and both grandfathers were A1 and had over 60 years each in beautiful marriages. My last boyfriend sat in my face and said I want too much (basic human decency is what I was pushing for by the way), and that the man I desire doesn’t exist. Well fortunately for me I have many examples of this man….so I decided to take my chances, not settle for crap and move on. And if it happens thank God, and if it doesn’t I choose to live my life and make the best of what God HAS blessed me with. Because there is someone who would give anything for your life ♥️

Some other thoughts I have… what if Ashley has fertility issues? What if she’s unable to get pregnant how would a man like Tyler be able to support that? Also, I don’t think we should’ve been allowed to see Marissa‘s breakdown all season we’ve been upset at Netflix for just dropping us off in the middle of the fights. I think Marissa‘s breakdown is why we as an audience don’t need to always be there. We saw over and over again how unkind people were to her for how she responded in the moment of getting broken up with on national TV on a highly ranked reality show when she fully believed in this experiment, what gets me is that she didn’t even know what she was going to get when the show came out. She had no idea what they were gonna show so she was bombarded with that at the same time we all were which I think is cruel. I don’t think we should’ve seen that.

I real love Marissa's energy, it was so sad to watch her breakdown like that. I'm in the military I don't love everything about it but there's many things I'm proud of. I also got an opportunity to get an education my parents couldn't afford to give me I relate to her so much, also being "too much" 😭 for me not so much energy but I love so wholeheartedly and I'm freaking 34 years old it still buffles me that someone can look you in the eyes, treat you so well and tell you they love you all the while they have no good intentions for you. For that reason I took a step back from relationships.

A few thoughts: Marissa and Ramses- Her scene was painful to watch, she was gutted. It makes me reconsider what we call entertainment it’s tough to watch someone’s pain on display like that, I’m not a fan. She seems to be a great woman and I hope she finds the love she deserves. I think that Ramses Christian mother really swayed him, considering it seems as though Marissa seems to be agnostic and Ramses is some lukewarm liberal. I also believe the fear of failure was a bit of what prompted Marissa to beg for him to stay. Beyond love, it’s like I can’t have this happen again considering she gave all of herself. Him rejecting and denying her is literally all of our worse fear in love and why we move with walls.

Tyler describes seeing his mother crying when her mother passed and not knowing what to do. At that moment, I knew he wasn’t well. I have a 5-year old. If they see me crying right now, they would console me and ask me what’s wrong.

@@YoliOlivia i think that’s amazing that your 5 year old would console you, that shows what an amazing job you’re doing. But I also think there’s room to acknowledge the fact that as kids, sometimes the first time you see, your parents cry, it’s very shocking, especially if it’s during a death when you barely understand death in of itself at that age. Often times people who are kids from homes where parents aren’t emotionally available (whether due to financial struggles or personality issues) don’t get to experience any other emotion from their parent but contentment or anger. He may have grown up in a house where he didn’t get a hug when he cried himself and while Tyler has issues without a doubt I wouldn’t say that the average 5 yr old that doesn’t know how to console a parent will.

Second and third thought: I was irritated watching Tyler and Ashley’s scene knowing the truth. Tyler’s friends knew the type of man he was especially if the 3xs were true. Them talking about babies was wild. They kept mentioning it. Also, fun fact, Ashley’s friend Tellie also comes from reality TV she was on WAGs and I think engaged to that boxer Deyonte Wild? Can’t remember his name but chile he dragged her through the mud. She was still a sweet woman. I’m just waiting on this reunion since Ashley is sticking to the contract and won’t speak her truth about her castmate. Taylor and Garrett played out as expected. Taylor always gave not as in this as vibes I’m not sure if she was more invested in person. Her dad stood on business and didn’t participate in the shenanigans. Shoutout to her mom. I usually like Taylor’s style on the show but wasn’t a fan of her decision to cut her wedding dress. Shoutout to Garrett’s post marriage glow up!!! He looks good!

I noticed something with Ashley and her dad which makes me think her motive is to correct what her dad did to her mom. Her dad refers to her as his "only daughter" but i get the sense that there's infidelity there between her parents and he fathered other children/not having a friendship type of relationship with her mom. I think Ashley decided no matter what she was going to have a relationship that was night/day to her parents. The problem is when you try to run away from something/looking in the rear view mirror, often times you end up right in that same dynamic. I think thats why she was willing to overlook Tylers transgressions (as they might mirror her dad's) and rationalized it by the "devil you know is better" mentality. I think she likes to feel in control and even though things went sideways, she lacks the self esteem and self respect to walk away despite knowing she deserves more - all to be married. It's giving Simone Biles energy (despite the podcast episode with her husband). Tyler was also crying before the wedding out of guilt, not wedding jitters. The fear that comes when you get what you want though you know you don't deserve it.

The too much is he couldn’t manipulate her in doing what he wants. Her health has priority and no one is allowed to put his pleasure over someone’s health. Taking hormones / birth control is toxic. It was all said when he didn’t care about her health and put his pleasure over her well being.

Honestly it was interesting to me that someone who had been married and divorced before would go on a show like this. Given how divorce rates in subsequent marriages are even higher than the 50% rate of the first marriage, you would think that you would choose your next spouse with more careful deliberation than a 1 month tv show experience. Marissa was right to tell Ramses that he shouldn’t have come on this show since he kept complaining that he needs more time.

Ramses ex wife was also a go getting went from a NURSE to A SCIENCE DEGREE to MED school to a DOCTOR. He does love career driven women. From what I see he mostly worked retail & now a non profit. The thing that seems to draw him to them is also ultimately the reason he breaks up with them.
