I cut someone's session short once because I was passenger and feeling sick. I feel bad I had him pit, but I was vomiting for a long time after. Better to pit than destroy the interior of strangers brand new gt3rs.

If you're not looking straight ahead & facing forward at the track you will get sick guaranteed. Never look down, left right when passenger. You must see the turn ahead to adjust ur body.

I had to vomit as a passenger at least 2 times in my life, always threw up out of a window. But I do remember my classmate at school threw up inside and they were not able to completely clean it, the smell of vomit was always present in their car. Very interesting track stories.

New Jersey Motorsports Park, Thunderbolt track. Turn 1, call it a 75* right turn, at the end of the front straight. 130-150mph easily done with most cars, before you hit the braking zone. I'm there at an HPDE event, with an instructor. We'd been working on a section of track prior to the front straight (the octopus, as it was known back then), and well I'd figured it out. Result was, I was at my braking point 15mph faster than I'd expected, so I'd essentially missed it. The runoff at the end of the front straight, is small to put it kindly. Knowing there was no way I was going to stop before the hard fence at the end of the runoff with ABS just barely trying to kick in, I told my instructor to "hold on", bled off as much speed as I could, made about 75% of the turn, and gracefully ran wide off the track going about 40mph. The nice thing, is that after turn 1 it's a decent uphill to 2-2a/b/c complex (depending on the config of the track that day), so I was bleeding speed while in the grass going uphill and gently braking. Instructor was impressed with my decision making and my calm demeanor during the whole thing. No damage other than some grass in some places, some small scuff marks on the underside, and of course my pride. To give you an idea of how much of an elevation change there is there, there was a great picture of the track opening race with the Grand-Am series in 2008, of Scott Pruett nose high over the crest, and if you look all 4 are off the pavement. They shaved the crown down shortly after that race.

Awesome to hear you are a fellow 944 owner. I understand the sentiment in the deadpool because old junk cars are the best. However my experience with 944's is that they're unbelievably reliable. I suppose the argument could be made its like most German cars. With enough fiddling it'll never die. But a well sorted car in my experience is near bulletproof. Especially with spare sensors and relays in the glove box.

Ahh, not prepping car. I think back to one track day I was at. One of the organizers brought his Lotus Europa. Tech guys didnt worry about checking that car. Well, his battery wasnt clamped down. Took a hard turn... car died. Flung the battery right out of the tray. Years ago this was. Not a small or light battery. Dont know how it didnt damage the body, hitting the side of it. New problem. Europa and battery is now at bottom of engine bay. Cannot get it out the bottom... Queue me. As somebody with a cranial elevation on par with Ed, it naturally meant my arms are longer too. So here we have one person holding me by the belt as I lean over to grab this battery and then am helped to lift it out. Never skip your inspections.

Beginning @0:45, he says three, or four, (guess it's hard to tell the difference between 3 or 4), supercar owners actually RENTED the Homestead race track for a day had their expensive supercars, DELIVERED to the Homestead race track for a race between these 3? or 4? uber-millionaires?. He then alleges that EACH of these 3 or 4 supercar owners arrived to the track, NOT by car, but via, (not an average helicopter), but a multimillion dollar helicopter. ARE YOU F/N KIDDING ME? When the very first minute of a video is absolute NONSENSE...you can bet your arse the rest of the video is ALSO complete and utter nonsense.
