Our New Eggmobile

Jesse has decided not to do egg layers any longer and offered us a deal we could not refuse. We picked up his over built eggmobile. This thing is AWESOME! Check it out. We are hoping to house about 75 layers in it. It's going to be fun!

Keep the roosters! they are crucial for protecting the hens is a free-rang operation. I run several hundred here in SWVA and I don’t loose any to aerial predators.

Joey, the two that came with the flock are in chicken heaven now. They went after my son. I have one more rooster left and two big toms. Tommy and TJ (Tommy Jr.) We also have a livestock guardian dog named "Stupid Dog" that barks at anything flying...or walking the ground. Coyotes included. I am not thinking we are 100% predator proof but better than average. The girls have settled in well and are producing eggs like no tomorrow. Next step is to get the other birds out of the barn into the eggmobile! Where are in SWVA? My family is from Abingdon and Damascus. And some in Blountville. Thanks for watching! K

@@MillGapFarms well I would have done the same if they came after my girls, I’ve only ran into one mean rooster in our 12+ years of doing eggs and I had plans of laying the lead to him but a raccoon beat me to it lol. Hey we are right outside the sleepy little town of Damascus right between Damascus and Glade 90% of our eggs go to Abingdon. Crazy small world
