You guys are so much fun! I also love old houses. My Nana was born in 1888, and she instilled a love for the Victorian era in me. Even though my house is new ( built in 2007), I have decorated the inside with many Victorian pieces.

This is why you two are awesome! You keep me motivated when I find yet another thing on my 93 year-old house that needs fixing. One of my favorite things you've shown is the historic photo of Helen with the Union Army camped behind, leading up to the Civil War battle of Vicksburg. Old houses are not just 'things'. They are something special. Thanks for reminding people of this.

Great video. Adore the cute names for the homes! Question for you: wondering why you don't have a small travel trailer or RV to bring to these worksites -- where you can sleep in a real bed and avoid fleas? LOL :-) I'm sure there is a reason cuz y'all are pros .... but I gotta say, the idea of the BUGS while you're sleeping on the floor gave me a shiver. God bless you both!! Love your channel!!!!

We usually sell the houses eventually but still own some. We also will typically find some local help. We do a ton of of the work ourselves but not everything.

We've sold the Monticello properties and Pearl in Natchez. We're now working on a huge project in Natchez and will be for the next year at least.

We sold Melly to a gentleman that is building affordable housing on the whole block. He will continue the restoration that we started, but we had to concentrate our efforts in Natchez, MS
