There is no point in having a gun if you aren't willing to use it. If you listen to his video, it is obvious he can't defend himself or his family: he hates guns and wants the police to do the hard lifting for him. This is the problem with foreigners in the Philippines: they think they are smarter than the locals, keep bringing their foreign values with them, trying to change the new country into the one they just left. It is silly and makes no sense. But 99% of them think this way.

@peterpoulter1420 I'm a Kiwi and we have a house on Cebu where we lived for several years. My wife obtained a gun licence and we purchased 1911 Colt 45 for our protection. Don't assume other peoples attitudes or opinions coz it rarely is accurate. Thanks for your input mate lol

@@AustralianinthePhilippines talking smack about guns in the Philippines is going to be interpreted as either talking smack about guns or talking smack about the Philippines. Only two choices: 1) being a coward and hating guns or 2) being a loser and hating the Philippines but still living there. People are pretty tired of listening to foreigners going to the Philippines and not liking it or trying to change it or complaining about the way things are or talking crap about the country. It would be better if the loser foreigners left the Philippines and went back to their home country. I know that means getting a job again since many of them can afford to live in the Philippines without working but would need to work if they went back home. But I am tired of listening to whiners complain or try to change the new country into the shth@le they left. For the record, I don't consider all foreign YTers to be losers. But if they are doing YT with the hopes of making money, rather than as a public service, then the chances go up a lot.

After Oddette hit and it rolled the roofing on the front of my house up like a cigarette I found out it wasn't and they didn't secure the end run of the roof structure to any of my post. Fortunately my pastor friend has a building supply place and got me the roofing to replace it that was the thickest available here. @@VWApachey Everything here is very Americanised and no, foreigners can not own guns legally here. We are on the island of Masbate and we found out yesterday his cousin had been shot also a few towns away so it was definitely a targeted hit. Still don't know the exact reason behind it mate but there was obviously an issue with someone. And some places are good with pricing, you just need to find em lol. Thanks for watching brother 🦘✌️

Comment on the wheel hub assembly "bearings"!! Do you even know how hard it is to do that job?? I know somethings are cheaper in the Philippines, but don't be so darn cheap with labor as you probably paid more for the parts for sure so you wanted the work done as cheap as possible. Give the local Filipinos a decent wage that they deserve for their hard work!!!!!!!!

@@kevinagullana742 Actually mate I know how easy it is to do, it's 5 bolts after removing 2 bolts for the brake caliper. It's a 45 minute task and the quote in the province was 500 peso. That's a days salary here. 2500 is a complete overcharge and means a mechanic here is earning 3,300 peso per hour??? I can actually get one fitted in Australia for less money. My issue is not the amount but the fact that they want to charge me 5 times the proper rate. I'm sure you'd be happy if your mechanic in the west did that?

@@AustralianinthePhilippines I thought Masbate was a safe place. It would be great if you could travel to some of the smaller islands of Masbate, such as, Ticao Island, Burias Island and Jintotolo Island, they seem to have lots of nice white beaches.

@@alexrichards24 for the most part yes but there are still NPA here and a lot of places in the Philippines. The city is obviously much safer than small provinces but it's so peaceful out here. 🦘✌️

@@alfredopampanga9356 Haha the home invasion was due to 3 escaped prisoners at the time and the shootings are usually due to altercations over something. Life's an adventure right and it can happen anywhere to be honest. 🦘✌️

Where do you live in the Philippines? Because that's not a safe place and I would like to stay away from that area.

Haha anywhere can be unsafe. Taxi drivers in Manila were kidnapping foreigners last year. This was a targeted attack and the 3 masked gunmen had escaped from the city prison. I'm sure you will agree there are murders committed in every city and country in the world. This is no different. Thanks for watching.

Sounds to me like your security problems are just starting. Wish I had real useable suggestions for there but no knowledge of local laws and regulations. Get women and men there all licenced for firearms. Dogs I'd recommend shepards and one or two Irish Wolfhounds. Huge, fast and very intimidating with no fear. The wild wild east. My condolences to the affected family there. Is a paid security company an affordable option to you? Careful planning and keep safe!!

@@NormanEvans-y7f pure breed dogs are almost non existent here and there are no security companies in the little provinces. The big cities are where all the security is but not really affordable. Appreciate the suggestions brother and thanks for watching 🦘✌️

I know what Duterte did, and I am not saying I agree with it, but he did make Phils a lot safer for the vast majority of people. Regarding the killing, obviously targeted and something's fishy there. The calibre of that rifle is not commonly available there except in law enforcement and military. Even in the huge illegal firearms industry there, it's uncommon, preferring 7.62x39 or 5.56 instead (AK and M16/Ar15 popular with NPA and criminal gangs). Anyway, you know Phils, nine day wake getting drunk and gambling, and memories then fade quickly.
