We had measurements for the ones in the closet and knew those would fit, the ones under the bed we thought we would put up above in our closet but once we got on the ship they actually didn't really fit there but we were really lucky that they fit perfectly under the bed. As the old expression goes, I'd rather be lucky than good. 🤣🤣🤣

I agree with the other posters - you two are adorable. My husband and I retired about 8 years ago when we were in our early 50’s. It’s fun to see people of a like age out having fun and visiting so many new places!

I just found your vlog and am enjoying your journey. I've started at the beginning (packing) to just follow from there. I also use a spreadsheet after almost losing a piece of luggage from a Royal cruise one time. I was asked to complete a form with what was in the luggage!!!!! Thankfully, the piece showed up and I didn't have to finish trying to remember every single item. That taught me a lesson and I have a packing list and checklist of everything that I take. It goes along with me in my carry on, on every cruise. If anything is lost again, I know EXACTLY what was in the particular piece. Serenade is one of our favorite ships and hope that you're having a fabulous time. I can't wait to catch up with you!

cascading hooks work with virtually any hanger to create vertical rows to hang clothes from. This decreases the amount of hangers on the main rod giving you double or triple the amount of space, according to the brand.

Looking at the hangers, I've seen multi level hangers e.g. many pieces of clothes in one space

We tried that, but in the end physics wins out even when they hang lower the thickness is still quite a bit. There's also a limited amount of space on the top and bottom. So they didn't quite work for us. However I do know some people that use them and they did like them

Enjoy your trip IKEA has the fabric organizers and I see Amazon has the magnetic spice racks Smart ideas We would not bring any formal wear or scuba stuff but that’s your choice Way too many shoes We moved to a Ive floor condo 10 years ago so downsized and now are more minimalists But it works for you Luggage forward good idea yes We normally always do laundry I was also a Scout leader in Ontario so know the big thing for sure Setting up your basement to demo the room great planning We wanted the trip but not in the budget Have a great voyage Love the Radiance class

They had mass on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day with a Catholic priest they brought in. We were told mass would be held on the ship on Easter as well. Other Sundays, we just watch it on KZbin.

You would think that a boat that size would have little stores where you could buy a pair of tennis shoes or things that you would need on this trip.

It has a gift shop and I think they do sell flip-flops, T-shirts, and such but no tennis shoes.

Those things actually went in our checked luggage on the airplane. We did buy some additional sunscreen at Walmart once we got to Miami

I would really like to know how you paid for the cruise. I apologize if this is being too nosy. Like did you make a down payment and then monthly payments? Is there a discount from RC if you pay it off at a certain time?

You pay an initial deposit and then we did make payments over a two-year period and yes there was a discount if you paid before certain date.
