Rajesh Khanna delivered many superhit films in the earlier 70's with the help of Kishore Kumars golden voice and became overnight success and superstar...All girls used to be crazy about him and there used to be huge mob wherever Rajesh Khanna used to go on shoot throughout India...The famous lyricist javed akhtar once remarked that in his career he had never seen anyone enjoying so much super stardom and overnight success and craze as any other actor more than Rajesh Khannna ever enjoyed the attention. Even today Chennai and Tamil nadu are non hindi speaking and anti-hindi...however Rajesh khanna's first superhit film Aradhana in 1969 was the first hindi film to attain such a huge success in tamil nadu state and ran into box office for more than 90 days. The duo Rajesh Khanna and Kishore Kumar delivered many super hits later one after the other. Later when Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia it is said he broke million of hearts...Dimple kapadia only delivered one film bobby and later hang off her boots...until 1980s when she came back again to hindi cinema..

Kishore Kumar and Rajesh Khanna are synonymous with one another. In my opinion, no actor had better songs picturised on them than Rajesh Khanna. The overwhelming majority of those songs were sung by Kishore Kumar. Dev Anand and Shammi Kapoor had some great songs as well. Shammi was synonymous with Mohammed Rafi.

I'm with Indrani on this one !! Love this song. In fact, if I pick top 10 songs of all time in Hindi, Bengali and English, this would easily be in that list. Kishore depicted emotion so well you could almost grab hold of it and keep it close to your heart. Of course, RD Burman is - along with his father, Hemanta, Salil Chowdhury and AR Rahman - one of the greatest music composers of all time.
