Your kitchen looks beautiful! The great thing about black and white kitchens, is that you can add a pop of color, for example, red kitchen towels. There are so many color choices that you can use inexpensively

I think you should consider add under cabinet lighting. You will have zero regrets! I do think the kitchen looks nice! Can’t wait to see the shelves in and decorated too!

I'm always shocked at how many people do not have under cabinet lighting, especially after an expensive reno. It's really the single most important thing. Low cost and MASSIVE impact on the look and function.

We got the LED tape lights. Easy to out in and you can get connectors to splice the sections together. You can use the lights that work with smart home products or use a smart outlet to turn them on.

When it’s all decorated you can add those tiny twinkle light strings to something on the shelf’s for those days that are dark in the fall and winter to add more light without being too bright. You can add them to greenery or weave them in and out of thing. I use them a lot here in montana during the darkest times of the year. Just a thought

I have to say at first I was like naaaa. But then seeing the tiled wall by the window with the wood shelves I was like ohh yess!! We did a full wall tiling around our kitchen window and I love that look so much. Your kitchen looks great! It gave me a city rehabbed warehouse style loft feel. ❤️❤️

I absolutely LOVE the new colors! Very nice. I think the reason everyone likes the white is it brightens the room without a lot of electricity and great.. even using the cool bulbs. My kitchen is over 100 years old with metal cabinets. Thank you for sharing!,

LED strip UNDER CABINET LIGHTING, IS THE WAY FORWARD. NOT EXPENSIVE ON THE ELECTRIC BILL. LONG LASTING. the black tile looks beautiful. I have always loved black tiles. love the tile choice. I understand it was a cost factor that eliminated the change to the small sink window. I'm glad you are happy with the update and in the future it could be changed. My brother recently removed two cabinets and put in a triple window over his sink to allow in more sunlight, watch the forest creatures and his littles playing in the fenced yard. kitchen reno's are costly and your update is practical for your large and growing 'tribe of many'

Very nice! The tile balances well with the white cabinets. A touch of earthy tones with the brown rounds it out. The lighter colored accessories on the shelves with a few pops of green will be perfect.

When you were describing it I was thinking “OMG I don’t know if that’s going to look right.” But it looks great! I’m in the process of doing a backsplash for my much smaller kitchen. I’m going with a corrugated metal and trying to decide between copper and nickel
