It baffles me why people wonder about other people's money. My mama brought us kids up with the belief of " worry about YOUR money, not your neighbors " we raise our children the same way.

It does not baffle me that people "wonder." I would think most people wonder about how others afford something... It's human nature to wonder. In normal circles, however, it's rude to ask. But when people are so open about their life on KZbin as are a Tribe of Many, I'm not surprised that their viewers feel comfortable asking. People look to influencers to find ways to do better. I think we should destigmatize talking about money and salary, etc. and help each other.

Even if your family on social media I really think some people should worry about there own businesses an not worry about anyone else. It's so personal an rude to ask questions that really doesn't concern them. @@OurTribeofMany Wow, you know Sarah, I was just pondering the very same thoughts last night. It started with a daydream of being "well off " for once & being able to give as my heart so desires to. Of coarse I would give to the ministries that have fed me. I have always said that your channel is a ministry. But I literally thought of how I would give to your family, because your family has ministered to me over these many hard years of chronic health challenges & living far below the poverty line. You really.have.no idea the stability & "grounding" you bring to many of your subscribers. So know this Thanksgiving, dearest Sarah & Family, we are thankful for the blessing you are to us‼️💗💗

Love the video. It is always nice to hear how other people handle money and be honest about it. Growing up we were a solid middle class family. My mom realize early in their marriage she had to handle the finances. She created a "budget book" gave my dad a weekly cash allowance and created a tool fund for him. She also realized it would cost about the same to buy a pop up camper as it would to go to Disney World. We still have the 1972 Starcraft Pop up trailer. That trailer took my 3 brothers & I (and the cat) all over the country and my parents to all 50 states. She also had the forethought to save the inheritance from my grandma for our college tuition. She was really one of the wise ones!

I’m completely nosey when it comes to finances. 😂 While I wouldn’t straight out ask someone about their finances if the topic comes up I’m there for it. I wanna know what people are doing, gain knowledge and ideas. I’m a single mom. I dragged myself from the bottom of the barrel to a much better place financially with God’s grace. I’ve learned so much being dirt broke (Aka poor) I don’t regret going through it. I know where my money goes now. I’m still working on certain goals but watching people like you inspired me so much, so I love when you talk about it.

We talk about all sorts of things from our childhood and life in general. Its a fantastic way of reconnecting when our own family lives are busy. Praise God; it is refreshing to see / hear a totally godly couple. I know God’s promises are real and true. You’re a living example of Gods word. Following God, following Godly counsel; being good stewards of what he’s given you. Excellent patients; not because you’re perfect but because you’re doing your best. Most of all a godly couple; the two of you now have become one in Christ . Keep up the good work. The world needs to see more couples like you. We went from a two income family of two to a one income family of four, I had twins and two years later, another boy joined us. At that time health well checks were not covered by insurance and that made for some hard times. That time also gave me many fond memories and habits that are still used today. No wrapping paper so we used end rolls of the local newspaper printer. I wrapped the gifts and wrote the name on the package and then my sons used home carved potato stamps to decorate. I bought a cheaper tee-shirt without a design and my boys drew their own artwork on the front. These things were thought of because we didn't have money but they are things the boys still talk about today. Great memories of all of us working together to reach a goal! Wonderful and valuable talk today! Thank you for sharing!

See...this video is one of the main reasons I enjoy your channel! We share so many of the same morals, principals, and values! So much of the advice you are talking about is how I live my life. I remember once a co worker was so jealous because I would vacation down the shore every year for a week. I finally sat with her and said...I dont eat breakfast and lunch out, and I do my own nails and hair. I added up what she spent on that and figured she could go down the shore for 2 weeks if she spent her money differently. We all have a right to spend our money the way we want and we have consequences negative and positive for those actions. You both give great advice in a way that is positive, motivating and real. Wishing you much success and happiness ❤️

Solo, you laughed about the boys and the bushes, but what about some composting toilets for temporary use? What do you think about not washing when you are there and taking it back to the family house? Preparing the meals and just warming or baking it at the tiny house. Everyone gets a reusable water bottle. Only once per day baths at the little house and put 2 or 3 kids in the tub at a time. Just some ideas to help the septic issues until the Lord gives you more guidance and solutions.

This is really great advice, thank you! It’s not about the numbers, it’s about planning what you do with them. I really wish the school system would teach us more in areas about how to handle money, learning from failure, how to budget, how compound interest works (good and bad), how to save money, how to invest, how to avoid debt, how insurance works, how taxes work, how to keep records, where to go, who to ask etc. I feel like at most, they briefly touch on a few of these areas, but not enough to make an impact on someone’s life or everyone’s in general. Even simple things like house maintenance, for example. Seems like something so basic, yet you have to specialize in it to learn anything.

We used a composting sawdust potty for years when we bought our farmhouse. It was also too small for our family (it actually didn’t even have a working bathroom or running water at the time! It does now…don’t worry😅). Sometimes, when you’re in a really rural area, you have to think outside the box while you’re working to get things how they need to be! My husband has also been in ministry also 15 years…it’s such a tough job and everyone always has an opinion about evvverryyyything. He is transitioning out of ministry into nursing and we are excited for the change of pace. And more financial stability for our family, because ministry…it’s pretty unusual to make enough money to care for the needs of a large family 😬.

As a mother and grandmother I see how amazing your children are. You have this platform on you tube and so many see all these qualities. I love watching your family, growing up in a Christian home my father being a pastor as well as my uncle. They held full-time jobs outside of the church, as well my mother. We were in no means wealthy at all, my parents struggled at times, with six kids it was hard for my parents, but always put their faith in God. You can tell who is serving the Lord the way he asks and wants us to and Loves him by their works. The both of you are doing that and more. What is just terrible is those who think they can question anyone on their financial situation, much less their shoes on their feet. What is even more upsetting, when anyone has worked so hard to get ahead for themselves or their family instead of being happy with them, for them, they become just the opposite. May God continue to bless you and your family.

The reverse is so rewarding. To have as many children as you want, knowing there will be a way or God will provide a way to care for them. Rather than trying to calculate how many children you can afford as the first step. So much of that depends on things (financially and otherwise) remaining the same. And yet the only constant is change itself. 🙂

My biggest issue with it these days is that I have to do it on the computer and I do pretty much everything on phones, but I don't want to do a monthly subscription and the YNAB I use, the phone part quit working. Back to paying attention to it, but digging myself back out from ignoring it for a year.

I’d love to hear you talk about re-establishing a life council. Especially for those who’ve suffered trauma at the advice of previous “counselors” and trusted church authorities. So many people have suffered church hurt and now find it impossible to trust the advice of others.

I enjoy watching your channel so much. In your household, I see so much love and laughter. Your children are gaining such a strong foundation for life by learning from their parents. Solo and Sarah, you put out such a positive example for your children. I truly hope the children know and appreciate how blessed they are. May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you safe in this turbulent world. Until He comes again and we meet together in the clouds, Maranatha!

Thank You for this video… it’s sad to think others are actually asking about your finances, which is a very private subject … The truth is, your videos are VERY uplifting and VERY entertaining… your life is public but it’s your life not the public’s … you are so kind to share private information, thank you for being open and honest, you are an amazing couple and an amazing family. You have good advice, thank you for sharing 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️

While I don’t think it’s good to hash out details and breed comparison between financials, I think transparency for church finances is critical. That includes staff compensation and exactly where the money is going. Unfortunately people love to take advantage, as we see time and time again.

BTW, in Southern United States their is a genre of music called Carolina Beach Music which emerged in the 50's along the grandstands of Myrtle Beach. It's nothing like Beach Boys music...which I also love. This is the music that gave the south a dance called SHAG.... it's a fun smooth 6 step dance....contests are held all over the south in the summer...music and dance still popular on Southern College Campuses. Not unusual to see children dancing with parents or grandparents on nights out...multi generational... it's not really a fast dance...the Gente is awesome...lots of rhythm...looks like ice skating in a small space when done correctly.

Very informative video. I can really relate to being in a very stressful time of life and wondering if life would ever get easier. Now, knowing that you can survive with knowing that making smart decisions and planning wisely things fall into place easier. Watching your show and seeing your interactions with your children has taught me so much. Even having as many children as you do, with feeding, teaching and guiding them, it all falls back on leaning on Gods wisdom and raising them to be thankful to him. Your children, growing up before our own eyes, are very well educated and continue to take on learning more, with learning instruments and cooking etc. You have instilled in them so much confidence that they can take any idea and excel. You are such an inspiration for many families.

We had those septic issues, we entertained a lot not uncommon to have 100 people using our 2 bathrooms during a get together. Our 3 bedroom rated septic needed help. A plumbing company came out and ran a pipe from the septic tank to a leach field. They brought in a backhoe and dug an 8 ft deep hole that was the size of of the footprint of our house. They filled it with 5 ft deep of gravel and then topsoil. We never had an issue again! It was relatively inexpensive. We also took our washing machine off the septic and planted a row of hedges that the water ran off into, worked great.

Sara, it is evident that you respect Solo’s thinking. Your vlogs are always filled with lots of useful, happy, positive, & serious content. I look forward in seeing Your Tribe of Many whenever you upload vlogs. Stay warm in Nebraska! And May your Lord & Savior continue being your guide. Blessings. Warmly, carol ❤

I'm sure someone probably already asked this, but do you ever just want to say "Our finances are a private matter. And not open for discussion." I know because of your channel, you have to be pretty much open to all topics. As far as being an interracial couple, I was once in that role. We had separated due to some personal problems he had when he passed away. But when I married him my entire family stopped communicating with me. I was no longer wanted as part of the family. I never would have thought that would happen. I really enjoy watching your family. There is so much love, faith and joy in your household. You are truly an inspiration for all families.

The pastor in my church growing up bought a Cadillac once...second hand, and he got a REALLY good deal on it, and he prayed about it a lot beforehand because of how it might look. But one family in the church still had a problem with it and left.

Enjoyed your chat today. I grew up in a time that we focused on our own finances rather than others, as well as, celebrated when others were blessed financial, goodness, times have changed. Sarah you look lovely today and it's always good when Solo has time to be in videos. Continue enjoying Sister's visit and preparations for upcoming Thanksgiving. Embrace God's blessings and shine.

Y'all are amazing. Your finances are yours, not someone else's business. It's sad that people just can't be happy for others. Lost almost everything three times but I know that there's someone out there who is worse off than I have been. I know the Lord has me and that's what matters and makes me happy. Be happy for others people, don't be sad or mad because you can't do the same thing as someone else.

I grew up on a farm with septic. Our community in Florida is not incorporated and our community has septic systems. When we were short term missionaries in the Dominican Republic. The paper goes in a trash receptical. And learn to use fewer sheets. After all, this is why one washes their hands afterwards. Thank you for sharing about financial principles! A very important topic that doesn't get talked about enough! Love your videos and the rest of your extended family! May God continue to bless you with all good things!

My husband and I are pastors of a house church. We also are the pioneers of a, yet to be built, Christian Social Platform. What the Lord has given us in the last 12 years, is to rely completely on his provision. It was a challenge, but it delivered us completely from the mammon spirit and gave us the ability and gift to make much from little. Just like you, I have a passion to teach others how to live like more than an overcomer, no matter what circumstances. God bless you and your family!
