Hello and thank you for posting this video. I do you have a quick question I painted wood with chalk paint first then added a thin layer and put my napkin on and it looked perfect until I put a thin layer of Modge podge on top and it bubbled what did I do wrong. I did let it dry overnight before I put a coat on top
@OurUpcycledLife2 жыл бұрын
I find when using mod podge as a topcoat if you put too much on it will bubble up. Are use a water-based poly acrylic sealer as my topcoat and only put on a very thin coat hope that helps

Thank you for a great video! I have a question. You say we should paint it with chalk paint so that it doesn't flake. I painted a cheap frame with spray paint and it's flaking. If I paint the frame with chalk paint first and then with the spray paint, would that prevent it from flaking? Would a store bought chalk paint also work?
@OurUpcycledLife Жыл бұрын
I think your issue might be you have some oil or some sort of a substance on the frame that the paint isn’t adhering to. I think what you need to do is sand, the frame, and then paint it or use a scuff pad that might help also.
