luke’s song HITS!!!! here’s what he stated about the album on his spotify artist profile: “I’m in a constant pursuit of bettering myself in that department. A lot of the songs are about where I’m at today, but some of them are written from the perspective of a 17-year-old kid in the thick of the industry.” He explains. “You’re reflecting on your youth and all of the madness and craziness. It’s like you’re forgetting so many pieces of your life-not from vices or anything-but from the sheer volume. The last 10 years of my life have been a blur and I have had to figure out how to fill a lot of gaps for myself in a positive way”

So I’m the same age as Luke, and I will say that each album was exactly what we as fans who were the same age as the boys needed at the time for our age. We kind of grew up together and each album was just perfect for that time, you know? I mean, they still are, but it makes some of the tracks on self titled have more meaning when you’re that age and going through that stuff.

You can say what you want but Starting Line is definitely by far the best song of 2k21. When I've listened to it for the first time, I've struggled big time with holding back my tears 😩🤍 it's not just the deep and meaningful lyrics or the way the song's building up or Luke's fantastic vocals, it made me remember the very beginning of their career where Luke was so shy and so insecure and now LOOK AT HIM 😭 he has evolved so much, I'm extremely proud of him and I really can't wait for his album!!

I don't love Youngblood, the album, but there are songs in there that I reaaaaally like. I've been following 5SOS since before this album came out (and even before the previous EP had come out I think?) and there's something low-key poetic about hearing Luke's new single and then their first album back to back. I don't like the first album as much anymore, mostly just cause the a lot of lyrics don't quite hit for me, but god it's still just so cool to see how they've grown as artists

I'd really love for you to listen to Jeremy Jordan sing. He's not a recording artist, he's an actor, Broadway actor more specifically, but his voice.... Listening to him sing is a WHOLE EXPERIENCE! It lifts you up to heaven and then above. His vocal ability, as well as his performances, are just unbelievable, like I've been listening to him for several months now and it still leaves me speechless when I hear him sing. I you're interested, maybe watch The Last Five Years with him and Anna Kendrick, which is a movie based on the Broadway musical. The songs rip you apart. Or maybe just look for videos of him here on KZbin, I suggest you leave his cover of It's All Coming Back to Me Now, the one that has like 8 million views, for last because WOW!. Believe me, that song with him is something else. I truly think he's one of the best singers right now and he's so unknown outside of Broadway, he deserves way more recognition and praise. Anyway, I always smile at the way you get so excited on certain parts of a song, cause I act the same lol
