If I'd been a barrister working for the WASPIs, my argument would have been that when they started work they effectively entered into a contract with the government - they'd be legally obliged to pay x amount in tax and NI contributions which, amongst other things, would contribute to their state pensions at age 65 for men and 60 for women. The government has renaged on that contract.
