First something I found that may help some people, if you are enabling and disabling mods while copying files to your new mod, there is a button on the "import from screen" page that says "Refresh Character List" this will basically refresh this list the same way redraw refreshes your character with the mods you've enabled. Now for my actual comment: THANK YOU! I've been wanting to add a makeup mod I found to my au ra, but I was never able to figure out how to do so while maintaining the horns and scales on her face, especially since the scales were literally drawn onto her face, unlike the vanilla ones. I ended up having the loose files for both so I imported the face with the scales on it like you showed, applied the makeup as an overlay, saved it, then applied the scales again as an overlay and saved it and it worked!

I want to update the system and components of my computer, but I am deterred by the presence of tons of mods. Is there a way to safely transfer everything from disk to disk? For a secure copy if something happens? I don't want to lose anything.

"g_SamplerDiffuse" doesn't exist anymore. There's either "Shader Package", "g_SamplerNormal", "g_SamplerMask", or a combination of up to 3 of those and none of those textures look like what you have in the video. Edit: Same with the path's themselves. Yours e.g is "AuRa Female Face (Face) 1 > AuRa Female Face (Face) ... And for me it is: Miqo'te Female Face (Face) 1 > Miqo'te Female Face (Etc) 1 with Shader Package, Sampler Normal and Sampler Mask, or Miqo'te Female Face (Etc) 1 with Shader Package and Sampler Normal or for some reason exactly the same again

How are these and loose texture files different? I have seen people with scars and tattoos or two types of tattoos. Is it by making one and overlay and the other a normal mod?

Two types of tattoos means one was overlayed onto another, yes

If it's in Penumbra, you should have 2 collection groups: 1- Everyone but you. / 2- Only you. Then you set the mod that changes your face to the collection that affects only you.

i would really really love to see a video on it too! I was able to get the tattoo mod i used applied to my chracter, but it clips a lot and i cant figure out why.
