you dont get banned by using skins since you are not actually messing with server data, they dont have a way to check that

Thx! Its helped! But small hint: you can just add downloaded .pak models into the MarvelGame\Marvel\Content\Paks and then simply reload fmodel and then extract them. Then just copy paste extracted into the game folder, don't need to change anything in fmodel😉

I had the same issue but after double clicking on the folder a few times and opening some of the folders inside the one labeled "Marvel", closing them and clicking export it started to load.

The way they said they were improving the systems around modding really made it seem like they wanted it in the game, and makes me think we should just wait. Plus its pretty sus that there were already a bunch of mod managers out there when it was literally something a child could do at that point in time

Currently working on finding a way to remove the mods and haven’t figured it out yet but I have accidentally removed the character models themselves but that was fixed by an easy restore files

If I understand this correctly we are extracting game files from its .pak to be able to replace original files with modded ones. Do we know that doing this extraction has a performance impact? I saw the other Luffy mod author made a video and it looked like characters UI and models were not loading fast. Is that a first time load only issue? Any other issues so far? Also every time the game updates that pak we would have to re-extract it, replace the files and then replace them with extracted modded files. Seems tedious, hopefully the mod manager guy will find a way to automate this.

One thing that happened to me was that I ended up trying to use a mod manager before actually watching a video, ended up taking a good 1.5GB off my game. If you're on Steam, verify your files and it'll reinstall any data you may have been missing, remaking it into the base game again (You may have to reinstall mods)

Good video~ But the reason why this is too much to do just to slap in a model is simply because of mods typically crashing the game. Once either issue gets figured out, it'll be worth jumping back in.

Some mods now come with the Marvel folder only so in that case it’s already unpacked, you just put it into the correct marvel folder 📂

if anything fails, rename the characters file from .bak back to its original form, re-launch Fmodel and re-export it like earlier. see if that brings the VFX folder. IF it doesnt appear, i would repair the files for the game from steam (idk if its possible from epic, might need to re-install it) and try again.

One thing I kept missing was not left clicking on the Marvel folder (selecting it) before right clicking and exporting in FModel. I was stuck on that for a good five minutes lol

ive got my desired mod to work but whenever i try to load into a game i get stuck at 99% then i get kicked back to the lobby. it also sometimes takes 30+ seconds for models to load in. is there any fix for this?

nvm i was able to fix it by going to the hero tab and preloading each charcters model by hovering over their thumbnails
