@@dakota6885 I think you don't have a lot of experience in bullet hell, this in terms of bullet hell is quite simplistic, the real obstacle here is the fact Wings are used instead of absolute 2D movement, also the fact the player's hitbox is bigger than average, but if it was a traditional bullet hell this would be on the easier side of the spectrum (it still is considering the bigger fish but it would be even easier).

I hope the Draedon update and its massive nerfs to Calamity's power scaling (both DPS and boss stats) are seen as a reason to remove his Calamity enrage, because it's quite honestly a crime that his fight is nearly impossible with it installed in spite of how cool-looking all the weapons are now. Sidenote, if you're looking to beat the Mutant with Calamity but still want a challenge, the drops from Ugandan Knuckles in AlchemistNPC are, rather begrudgingly, the only things from the most popular content mods that I've seen be able to penetrate his buffed defenses. It's the only scenario where I would consider using them in any serious context, as their DPS ranges in the high hundred thousands to low millions and clown on every other content mod available.

You might have calamity mod enabled which enraged him or it is not enabled and you used his other summoning tool which automatically enrages him. If none of the above applies then your gear is just unsuitable for the task. If that's still not the problem then I don't know what is.
