Hi lovely folks! Hook, Line and Sinker has recently pulled its support and updates due to its developer's personal reasons. Please look into these different mod managers instead! Gale: thunderstore.io/c/webfishing/p/Kesomannen/GaleModManager/ r2rodman: thunderstore.io/c/webfishing/p/ebkr/r2modman/ For people who already have HLS, it won't affect you. However, it will no longer update should any Thunderstore updates occur.

UPDATE: Someone has used a fork for HLS and is now the new developer for a "reborn" version of HLS. If you like HLS, please check out github.com/FerretPaws/HLSReborn/releases/tag/v1.0.1 Download the HSLR zip file, unzip, boot up Hook Line and Sinker Reborn, then follow the potatomidi part of the tutorial :)

hey i used gale as my mod loader, i followed what you did but potato midi doesn't work the game launches and runs but no sound comes from in game idk what I could be doing wrong

This was really good! I like how you actually walk through most of the process on screen! Your English is more than fine in my opinion. I think there is room to explain more of what is going on or why/how the different programs interact, but if I didn't know what was going on and wanted to get Potato's Midi to work this would be godsend! Thank you and good job! I'm somewhat inspired to make my own video or something 🤔

@@onohkar4348 hi! the midiplay program reads your midi file and the loopmidi program takes what your midiplay program is reading and spits it out through your webfishing game if you set it up just as i showed in the video! you can easily acquire midi song files on google. ^^ enjoy video making!

I usually convert sheet music into midi through musescore's program. (you can also install midi through the musescore site with their free trial) The songs come through clearer with potatomidi that way.

awesome guide, do you think you could make a google doc folder with some of the midi files you have? im trying to build up a collection

i got all of mine from Musescore's sheet music :) they have a program where you convert sheet music into midi. i'm afraid if i upload all those midi files in a google doc folder, it'll be piracy and i don't want to risk my account getting flagged. u-u you can easily grab a free trial from musescore and download all midis you require to your heart's content tho!

any idea on why when i launch the game (modded or vanilla) off HLS, it opens for a moment, but then immediately closes?

Hiii I have installed and enabled different mods in HLS but when I boot up the modded game none of them work :( maybe there's something I'm missing? I have all mods installed from HLS itself, but maybe there's an extra step to make them work?

yes! and if press g along with the music, your character will also bark/meow to the note

@@firecrusades3397 you won't get that function from potatomidi sadly. potatomidi's key point is the voice playing with the music. if you just want to let the guitar play, i suggest looking into the other midi programs in the modding community ^^
