Hi Tony. Very informative video. I'm still old school and use a paper map and compass. I had Viewranger but never really used it. I try to minimise everything on my long distance hikes, and I downloaded the new Outlook app, but just decided I don't need it. Its just more clutter in my mind. I go outside for simplicity.

Hi Dom My problem is whilst map reading pretty decent I like the safety met of gps to position myself tbh it's probably more a mental thing but gives comfort and always has even going back to when started I kinda started with that huge silva gps that gave a grid and could point to way points if loaded manually in lol so you were reliant on reading grids off map to put into unit lol how things change 😀 mist is my biggest achilles heel but that is psychological too and I am OK in it esp with gps handy although I have done some dead reconning and I don't turn to blubbering jelly 😀 My 50 year old eyes need glasses to see map now uggg phone and watch I can see ok just lol I keep map handy and try to look at it if nothing but to keep eye in Thanks for watching 👀 🙂 need more dedicated people like you watching to the end. Too many turn offtoo soon and that affects KZbin algorithm and isn't shared so much or more likely people get bored or don't click on mine oh well their loss I'm too happy enjoying it to worry about it :) interesting camp coming up soon 😊
