@@pickle8488 There was a wine tasting event and I had to make fish cakes for it, made 3 kinds smoked salmon, king crab, and tuna. Seared off some scallops for it too. Not as good as Taku's sashimi, but made 1 extra of each for a nice work snack. Made beef curry rice for crew lunch, some of that right now would be nice.

congratulations on your first landed kingi fish Taku and Jocelyn. the spot you were fishing at seems to be a hot spot for huge king fish snapper and kahawai. was super surprised to see some john dory get caught on a rod. usually they hide in the seaweed away from all the big predators, nice fish to spear fish and eat.

NZ has huge kingfish throughout the top end of the North Island, but if you want to slay huge ones consistently, then head to Whakatane and then to White Island and beyond. Also, a side note to your future wife, ❤ never lift the rod more than 90 degrees. Bad things happen after that lost fish or worse broken rod. Happiest of birthdays, bro. Love the content. 🎉
