You can use bicycle inner tube to totally quiet your platform clamp. Slide it over clamp. You will have to make a slit in it so you can push down to loosen.

Great video of your setup but I have a tip for you... When attaching your platform strap, make sure that you always run your cam strap buckle away from you around the tree so that it ends with the buckle right in front of your chest/face. This way you are not reaching around the tree in order to cinch up the buckle. An added benefit is that you can pull it so much tighter, when it is directly in front of you, than when it is on the other side of the tree. Keep the videos coming.

Just had rotator surgery & torn bicep repair 12/5 so it’s going to be a few days before I can practice climbing & setting up. While I’m down for repairs I got some silencing tape on the sticks, bed liner paint on the platform to dampen the noise a little. Still need a 2 step aider, not sure which brand yet. This is going to be a challenge for me at 60 yrs old but being more mobile, quieter, lighter weight has motivated me to give it a try.

I recently got a ring of steps and running that with a saddle platform, I highly recommended looking into a ring of steps. best of both worlds and a secondary hero clip for bow hanging when one has to move around the tree for a animal that came from the other way, with the ring of steps there is no such thing as a weak side shot and pretty remarkable learning that some saddle experts would never even use a saddle platform but ring of steps only.
