Today, I climbed a tree to 17 feet at my feet using my climbing sticks and my phantom saddle. My biggest issue is trusting the tether. Using my viper sd climber, I wore a harness and had the tether connected to it, but never leaned on it. Now I'm putting most of my weight on the tether. I've worked at heights my entire career so being up high has never phased me. It felt weird. I'll climb a few more times and see if I get used to it.

I have to ask because I don’t know . So, what is the safety mechanism with the saddle system should (may it never happen), a connector fail ? As I clime my ladder stand I am always connected to my safe line , up and down . Please indulge my ignorance about the saddle system .
