Hi everyone, it's been a month since I released this video and I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to watch it. I'm honestly so blown away at the response, people have said so many nice things! I love that at some point Andrew Prahlow must have thought 'Space Game Music? I'll grab my banjo!' haha It's such a crucial part of what makes Outer Wilds so big and so small at the same time, y'know? It's why I kept thinking about the soundtrack months after completing the game! Anyways, thanks again, and have a great day!
@Cori_Phoroi4 жыл бұрын
Andrew Prahlow said he wanted the soundtrack to have a sort of wholesome campfire tune feel to it, and it really shows in the soundtrack. Your cover is one of my favorite covers of his works because of how seemlessly you can incorperate all the different melodies and instruments so well. It's absolutely amazing. Great job!

Very late to your comment, but I figured I’d leave this here anyways! He may have done it on accident, but Andrew (the composer for outer wilds) made the end credits song with this in mind. The roaring sound near the middle signifies the end of the universe, and if you listen to the original again, all the travelers instruments get replaced with modern string instruments. So they’re the same tune, but different. Just like how the game ends, but life goes on. Its truly beautiful the passion put into the soundtrack and this remake of the medley 👏🏻

It's actually wild how good not just the Traveler's theme is (I could write a fucking book on why Outer Wilds is one of the best games ever made,) but how masterfully you covered it. The Traveler's theme works because everyone's individual instrument adds something to the song it didn't have before. While they all work on their own, combining them makes something new. The way you covered each individual instrument (especially Solanum's. Holy shit,) was so, so good. Absolutely nailed it, my man. Instant sub.

I just downloaded Outer Wilds a couple of weeks ago, and HOLY COW this is gotta be the most wholesome community I’ve ever seen! I look at Reddit posts of people asking for help on a particular puzzle, and I see the most kind-hearted people responding while still keeping it spoiler free. I haven’t completed the game yet, and from an outsiders view the community treats the ending as almost a sacred experience that can only be enjoyed once. So they try their best to ensure that no matter what, people get the best possible experience with the ending. This is what I play games for. This right here. People coming together to enjoy a common interest, and for long-term players who simply love sharing their love of the game with newcomers. Y’all are the best, and I can’t wait to experience the ending so I can share the same love to new players that you people have shared with me Edit: Just beat it. Incredible rendition. Loved every second of it. This popped up in my recommended on a very emotional night for me, and I opened it thinking it was a meme, but was very glad to discover I was completely wrong. The emotions that power through the screen are so strong. It's exactly what I needed. Thank you so much.

As much as I get invested in games and other media they rarely get a strong emotional response from me, and almost never more than once for those that do. It's been probably 2 years since I finished this game and I still get goosebumps listening to the music, good goosebumps. Excellent cover.

I played Outer Wilds when it officially launched in 2019, and again in 2021, in preparation for the DLC, which I also played. This game and the community around it truly is something special. A group of people, driven by curiosity, for this small world, and everything beyond. Creating: be it stories, music, pictures; a vast array of wonder and awe, a veritable celebration of what this game means to so many, in its themes and its story. We explore, ever-onward, because there will always be more to explore here, letting our imaginations bring us to new places even long after this charming little game has told us its story, and then we bring it to others, nudging them in the right direction, encouraging to pursue knowledge and broaden horizons, and in turn, they bring their own experience to this community. I truly cannot say I've been a part of anything like it before, and it is something amazing. Thank you, for making such an awesome song

This game's ending made me sad that it's over but happy it made me feel sad, there are only so many games with that ability, the music being such a big part in my opinion.

The Outer Wilds was a beautiful game, partly because of its sound track. I love your rendition and also your enthusiasm while recording!

coming back to this after finsihing outer wilds, I really like how this kinda represents the loops in the game. throughout the song, more instuments are added, representing the players knowlege. but halfway through, everything stops and restarts, with the piano part (representing the nomai) playing as it does. after this, instruments are added back, with new ones coming in, representing how the player gains more knowlege each loop. amazing song.
